So, there’s this trend that happens in liberal/activist spaces, where the second gentiles find out you’re Jewish, they no longer trust you unless you immediately, completely denounce every aspect of Israel down to its very existence. 

Example: at UCLA, a Jewish woman named Rachel Beyda applied for the student council. They interrogated her about whether she would be able to be “objective” because she was Jewish. They literally asked her, “Given that you are a Jewish student and very active in the Jewish community, how do you see yourself being able to maintain an unbiased view?”I have experienced this interrogation and distrust personally, in activist spaces at UCSC. At one point I even made a Facebook post about it because I was curious if it was just me and discovered that every other Jewish person I know at UCSC had also experienced something similar. Leftists do not welcome or trust Jews who have any qualms about disavowing Israel. To be clear: I’m NOT talking about acknowledging that the Israeli government is committing human rights violations against Palestinians. That should be obvious, and isn’t inherently antisemitic. What IS antisemitic is this trend that has been going on for years in liberal activist spaces, where the second a Jewish person is involved in literally anything, ie Existing While Jewish, gentiles HAVE to bring up Israel, and quiz us on it until they’re satisfied that we have completely denounced it, including its right to exist. And if we don’t denounce every aspect of it to their satisfaction, then obviously we must support the genocide of Palestinians and are cast out of activist spaces. That’s what’s going on with Gal Godot. The plot of Wonder Woman had NOTHING to do with Israel or Palestine but because she is Israeli, because she served in the Israeli Army (which by the way, is mandatory, and also she served as a goddamn fitness instructor) gentiles are pouring out of the woodwork to deem her “problematic.” And I’m fucking pissed. 

absolutely love watching what having children does to the people I know. one friend in particular didn’t change at all, because he always had strong dad vibes, so the baby just completed the picture. and then you contrast it with the people who changed wildly, like my brother, who has been more patient and gentle with his baby than I’ve genuinely ever seen him be in my life. in any case I love how Arthur goes from the utter menace the Normans made him - even if the Hundred Years’ War and War of the Roses left him a little less menacing than he was before - to, you know, a dad. a very doting dad at that. like just imagine being Erin and Morgan watching this usually mean, vicious fucker turn into someone so gentle. a man so concerned with his reputation and meticulous about how he carries himself and and what emotions he does/doesn’t show and he’s just like… shamelessly singing silly rhymes or cooing at his baby in public. baby Alfred could throw an apocalyptic fit and Arthur would just find it cute (in a pitiful way). it’s like this man has never felt annoyed in his life. the literal pirate, the scourge of the Atlantic, at one time one of the best and most brutal knights in Europe, an unrepentant and ruthless conqueror, keeps kissing his baby’s forehead and very solemnly asking if he knows how loved he is. the baby that no one really expected to exist in the first place and that Arthur gave zero indication of planning to have, but here he is and good god Arthur loves him more than he’s ever loved anything or anyone. it’s bizarre and no one understands what the hell is happening.

DC has to kill Jason in every universe because if they don’t him and Bruce just become too emotionally stable and powerful together and they solve all of Gotham’s problems before Jay even graduates high school. They kill him to keep the story going and this is the truth Batman personally told me so just now

Biggest fandom pet peeve is when people just "ball" Riz,,,he's not just ball. Or a ball. He's THE Ball. Put some respect on his name. It doesn't matter if it makes no grammatical sense. It's not an article anymore that's PART of the nickname. Does that mean you have to make Fabian sound insane? Yes. He already sounds insane have you listened to him. "Thank you The Ball," he says, "oh wow that haircut suits you better The Ball," he says, "my dearest The Ball please come over to my house again and help me find my crystal charger I already cast Enhance Ability on myself Fox's Cunning isn't enough. Save me The Ball, save me!" and you just have to deal with that. Also this one's even more personal and specific but capitalise it!! Capitalise The Ball!!
