Translating comic characters into something animation ready for the Lackadaisy Animated Short Film!

These designs - which underwent a lot of back and forth revisions among the director, character designer and me - are where we landed for some of the primary cast.  We’ll show some of the other characters appearing in the film soon! Art here by the marvelous @corvidmonster

So i was trying to decide whether to redraw one of my old pictures or not, and @imaginationstudios321 metioned this picture, which is my first digital one, so i thought why not redraw it? 15 hours later i finshed the new version, and needless to say, there is definetly a diffrence.

I wanna know what crayon looks like! Please tell me you have art of him!!! I wanna see

Unfortunatly, i don’t actually have much art of him, but these are the two major degins he has, (I’ve been really indescive about his outift) with the top being the more recent and the bottom being his original desgin.

I do have a lot of sketches of him! But most of those will be posted as part of a big shipping post I’m working on, so im saving those for that, i hope this is good enough for now Anon. I’m happy that you wanted to see him!

Y'know, I’m really loving the return to a “tropes are good” mindset. Embrace the cliché. Use the overused. If it makes you feel good to read and write, don’t stress if it’s not completely original. It’s so much more fun to not agonize over having to make every aspect of a piece revolutionary

For my followers with (any sort of) triggers–

Tumblr has allowed filtered tags for a while, but now they offer filtered post content too.

So you can filter out posts with certain words or phrases in the text even if no one tagged it, which is fantastic. I started using it yesterday and it’s already helped me avoid 5 different posts that wouldn’t have been caught by the filtered tags.

Go to “Account,” then “Settings,” and it will be in the Filtering section right under “Filtered Tags”

Ok I’m a little biased here but let me run an experiment. Reblog if you think that plague doctors are attractive, and comment why if you want to. I feel like there might be more people than I know of.

Static. Because i need practice drawing him, his head is hard to do. Also because i needed to figure out what his arms looked like. I did hand practice as well using some of the diffrent characters from static’s story to make then less ..plain? i guess.
