I genuinely think that any change in behavior starts w telling yourself that your worst days, worst performances, just worst moments in general aren’t who you “truly are.” It’s all about unlearning any thought process that essentially chalks up traits you aren’t proud of to “this is who I really am” “in reality I’m lazy” “in reality I’m just a bad person” bc not only is that never true, but it impedes your efforts to try to do better as well. Anything we struggle with has roots in things like childhood trauma, thoughts you’ve been fed before, your upbringing…. but never that you’re inherently a bad person. What I’m learning this year is that a lot of us doing better & being better & improving really comes down to self-talk—to disavowing the very notion that deep down we’re simply bad.
I do actually care marginally about the guy in that reddit screenshot who voted for Trump and is now worried that he might lose his medicaid funding because I did not fucking stutter when I said healthcare is a human right but the people losing their internships and job offers to the hiring freeze are straight up hilarious.
Just to tell you that this post that you rebloged is a scam. The fact that they send you an ask is the first red flag. Also the account is less than one week old and it's always the same picture of the same people. Be careful with scam. https://www.tumblr.com/friedcupcakegoatee/730804844186714112/donate-to-shaban-oyugah?source=share
Thank you! My apologies, it's been a long time since I used Tumblr regularly. Good looking out 😅
I need everyone to know that the ship Götheborg, the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, answered a distress call the other day.
Imagine waiting for the coast guard or whatever to show up and instead a replica of 18th century merchant ship pulls up and tows you to the coast.
Listen... I love how floppy and throwable Astarion is. I love that he has a whopping 8 strength. I adore that a particularly stiff breeze could send him far, far away, and you'd have to search the trees for half an hour to find where he went.
BUT I do headcanon that he has the strength benefits of vampirism like any other spawn. They're just kind of? Inaccessible unless he's VERY well fed and/or is in a situation he'd very desperately rather not be in.
Like a mom who summons the strength of 100 gorillas to lift a truck off of her child. He's scooping you up with one arm and leaping out of the way of danger like it's nothing. Or snapping a guy's neck like a twig when he ambushes the two of you one night. Or punching a hole through a rock wall and bending back metal bars as thick as your forearm to break your asses out of jail.
He'll also be just as surprised as you are when it happens. Every time it happens. And then once that wears off, he'll be ridiculously smug and giddy about if for the next ten-day AT LEAST.
it’s crazy how much diversity there can be in one species…these are all pictures of the same bird species (red-tailed hawk)
got this text from my brother
