Taking a Break

Another week and another Hotwifing 101 episode. I apologize for missing last week but I needed time to heal. But now that all is good…we can heat this thing back up.

This week I want to talk about a topic that sometimes needs to be done….Taking a break from the lifestyle. Believe it or not…this is needed every once in a while.

Some of you in the lifestyle get into it full force and have play dates every single week. Some of you hang out at the lifestyle parties and clubs every time the doors are open. There is nothing wrong with any of that. But if you’re not careful, your obsession can potentially hurt the most important aspect of it all…. Your relationship with your spouse. And what have I said too many times to count? That the relationship is why you do this. To enhance it right?

I have learned in my experience, to take it slow and easy at our own pace. I dont rush into anything and we play whenever we both feel the urge….which isn’t weekly. We dont overwhelm our time with hotwifing or swinging. And maybe twice, since we started this, we have taken a break just to fully reconnect with each other and to ensure each other where our loyalties and love lies! That’s just how we do things!

If you’ve just started in the lifestyle, you probably dont feel the need for any break and I’d even agree with you, but at some point one of you will. Dont ignore that. And also dont hide it either. Be completely up front about it with each other and make a rule that states if either one of you feel this way…to take that break and revisit it again at a later date. You have to remove yourself from the excitement sometimes and set your compass straight again. It really is necessary at times.

I’m not currently in a break time phase but the last time I felt the need for a break was because I felt like I was spending way too much times texting and chatting with other men than I was my own husband. I didn’t like how that made me feel so I called for a break. My Stag didn’t really feel the same and he even admitted that he wasnt affected by any of it but agreed with me that if I felt that way, then we would take a break. Ended up being a short break for us and we were back at it 3 months later.

Some of you may need to take that break based on just overwhelming yourselves with the lifestyle. Some of you may need to take that break just to reconnect with your partner. Some of you need to be honest with your partner and let them know just how important it is to have a break. Be transparent with each other and keep the most important thing at the forefront of all you do in the lifestyle. Your relationship!
