I just love the use of bestie here๐๐๐
it just occurred to me that nobody bothered to tell Annabeth about Ares and the helm and the bolt since she was in asphodel.
Girl saw her bestie challenge a god to combat with no context a couple hours before her oldest friend tried to kill her bestie. The girl must be confuzzled.
I just know Grover is already on his way to emotionally manipulate people into thinking they are actually the guy's children
I just came across the steven meme and had to do it ๐โโ๏ธ

You know what I was thinking about when Luke told Percy how you burn what you'll miss most to talk to the gods and then Percy offered his blue candy because that's what he'll miss most? I had initially assumed he'd talk to Poseidon and maybe blame him but then he was talking go Sally and I was like, how dumb of me, he's talking to the stronger one, lmao
They seem to have made Percy more on the inattentive end of ADHD than hyperactive. Aside from the capture the flag scene, we mostly just see him zoning out, 'daydreaming', the line "I don't think it's the marshmallow's fault I never pay attention".
ADHD barely gets good representation as it is, but I don't think I've ever seen the inattentive type in media like this before. This is going to be huge for a lot of people who don't fall under the hyperactive stereotype umbrella.
I'm just really excited that more people will get the chance to see themselves.
โPercy was oblivious to his feelingsโ
But
- His one clear memory being Annabeth when he lost his memory
- Passed up on immortality and godhood for her
- Fell into Tartarus with her instead of letting her go
- Was told not to tell anyone his Achilles spot but told Annabeth
- Almost had a break down when Artemis offered Annabeth a place with her
- Thinks about her in the midst of battle
- Puts Annabeth over everything. โThe gods were glaring at me, but Annabeth had her hands over her mouth. Her eyes were shining. And that kind of made up for it.โ
- Knows just what sheโs capable and advocates for her. โThe most powerful demigod in our generation is sitting right here and it isnโt me.โ He nodded to Annabeth.
- Admitted heโs only liked one girl and her name is Annabeth.
Something that I love about Jude and Cardan is they actually raise hell for each other. In other books, characters will often make these grand declarations of love and say things like 'i would burn the world for you' or destroy everything for you or whatever, but with Jurdan, they don't rlly say stuff like that to each other, they just do it. Like Cardan signing off a peace treaty allowing the undersea to attack the land and risk war to get Jude back, going against his morals and killing Madoc's guards when they were taking her, or Jude letting Snardan poison the land as long as possible because she was searching for a way to bring him back.
The Queen of Nothing Ch.17
Cardan lighting candles so that Jude could see when she woke up??? OH MY GOD heโs so adorably considerate I CANNOT
Itโs the transition from how in the book, the river happened to be under the arch - but in the show, Poseidon reached out to grab Percy. Itโs going from a passive, happened-to-be-there act of saving, to a proactive, actually stepping in level of saving. Contrasting so much with how Echidna happened to be there at the arch, to Athena actively working against them. In this essay I will-
Just adding to the appeal here, buddy. NOT HELPING ๐ญ๐ญ
OK BUT WHAT ABOUT THE GODS VALUING THEIR PRIDE OVER EVERYTHING ELSE.
I MEAN ATHENA LET ECHIDNA INTO HER SANCTUARY TO PUNISH ANNABETH FOR WOUNDING HER PRIDE.
AND ZEUS DECLARED WAR BECAUSE THE BOLT WAS STOLEN AND HIS PRIDE WAS ATTACKED.
BUT POSEIDON SURRENDERS TO ZEUS, SACRIFICES HIS PRIDE, TO SAVE PERCY.
JUST THROWING THAT OUT THERE
