-gather all ur bags and empty them- pockets and all. put things back in their normal home. then repack ur bags with what u really need
-do the same for ur coat pockets!

-open ur windows, even if it’s cold outside; ur room needs an airing every once in a while
-spray a little perfume round ur room whilst ur at it
-clothes in ur wardrobe all a mess?? refold/hang up those bitches
-light a candle/set up an infuser
-organise! ur! folders!!
-make a to do list. put it into sections: things to do today, things to do soon, and things to do when u have time
-organise ur laptop/desktop/phone (especially ur photos!)
-have a shower if u need one; take ur time and enjoy it. de stress.
-make a new playlist for whatever mood ur in: sad, happy, angry, mellow, whatever ur feeling
-delete old songs/playlists u don’t listen to anymore
-go through ur social medias & unfollow accounts u don’t care about anymore & accounts that make you feel shitty
-clean out ur email inbox
-down the side of ur bed is messy? clean it
-u have a bedside table? clean it
-if u have more time, look through your belongings and see if u have anything u don’t want anymore & can donate. do this in sections; books, clothes, stationery, etc
-make something u can eat or drink: a smoothie, a cup of tea/coffee, eggs, toast, whatever ur heart desires
-that thing you’ve been meaning to do for ages but keep putting off? do it. it’ll relieve more stress than u can imagine

I heard this tip from a professor I had over the summer and I find it super helpful whenever I have something big that’s stressing me out.
1. Place your hand directly in front of your eyes. Imagine that in your hand is everything that is stressing you out at the moment, whether it be tests, relationships, personal issues, etc
2. Breath in for a count of 4, and as you do so, move your hand farther and farther away from your eyes in a straight line until it’s as far from you as possible,
3. Hold for a count of 4. Take note of where your hand is now, how little space it takes up in your field of vision. Focus on other things in the room; the color of the walls, the shape of the furniture, the sounds going on outside.
4. Breath out for a count of 4. Your hand is everything that is stressing you out, and everything else you can see is the rest of your life. The things that are stressing you out right now can seem so immediate and overwhelming, but remember that it only makes up a small fraction of your life, and there are so many things left to look forward to.
5. Repeat as needed. Remember, you’ve got everything well in hand.
