rlly funny to me when some adaptations of j&h make utterson a woman and make her jekyll’s love interest like . are you saying that utterson and jekyll are in love
they should let someone gay (me), artsy (me), pretentious (me) and deeply engaged with the source material (me) make the picture of dorian gray adaptations from now on
glow up? nah he's always looked good
*not including House M.D. because it's not really an adaptation, or any overtly queer pastiches like My Dearest Holmes or The Adventure of the Furtive Festivity because that's not really a fair contest
imma vocal stim the fuck out of this
"that ship isn't canon! that character isn't gay!" well thats not what the voices told me
the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
