I honestly do think Mean Girls DOES need to be made every twenty years.

It's an honest (if very exaggerated) look at how brutal high school social politics can be and with just two generations of it, you can see how ideas of what feminism is and how best to advocate for it have changed.

Not to mention, it's relevant how bullying keeps evolving with technology. Social media is obviously a huge part of Mean Girls (2024), whereas it was, of course, non-existent in Mean Girls (2004). I'm terrified of what that could look like in 2044 lmao geez

So I finally went to the Eras Tour (London Night 6) and in part was how I aspected it. I aspected to see flocks of het-looking girls with sometimes their not very happy boyfriends and in general people that wanted to be like Taylor.

I guess being here in Tumblr made me think that there would have been also some queer folks. I don’t think I ever saw this many white blond girls in my life ahhah Swifties never beating the Barbies allegations…
