This Post Displays A Frankly Childish Misunderstanding Of How The World Works.

This post displays a frankly childish misunderstanding of how the world works.

It isn’t the personal private actions of rich people that create emissions - that would obviously be a ridiculous thing to believe. The wealthy are responsible for those large emissions because they control the actual source, the industry. And if we got rid of the rich, those industries would still have to keep running, unless you want the products they create and the jobs they employ to disappear (and, if you’re a socialist, you shouldn’t).

Please think about things for even one minute before you post them. I promise you the solution to everything is not actually revolution.

Scientists Just Found Who's Causing Global Warming

Scientists Just Found Who's Causing Global Warming
Futurism
A new study observes economic patterns related to climate change in order to find the staggering amount of emissions pumped out by the rich.

A recent study published in the journal Nature Climate Change has found that the richest 10 percent of the world population are responsible for an astonishing two-thirds of observable climate warming since 1990. Basically, that small minority of the wealthiest among us contribute nearly seven times as much to extreme climate change as the entire lower-earning 90 percent of the planet.

If that's not enough to have you reaching for your pitchfork, the top 1 percent contribute 20 times as much to climate disasters as the bottom 99 percent. Since 2019, the research article notes, the "wealthiest 10 percent of the global population accounted for nearly half of global emissions" through "private consumption and investments, whereas the poorest 50 percent accounted for only one-tenth of global emissions."

people who call him Mark Antony should be shot I think. he doesn’t work at the fucking Greggs down the street!!! he was a consul of Rome!!!

if you must shorten Marcus Antonius, then at least latinize it a bit! Make it Marc Antony! It looks so much better!

I actually despise poetry like this because it relies purely on its gimmick rather than any actual technical skill. because if you actually write it out in paragraphs it’s only a middling poem. it doesn’t really say anything interesting or advance the genre. the language is not very interesting. the sentences are mostly prosaic. there’s no musicality. in short it has very little actual artistic quality.

A poem should stand on its own as just the words on the page - not be defined by the goofy way you arrange them. I could, if I wanted, rearrange Thomas’ masterpiece Fern Hill or Keats’ On First Looking Into Chapman’s Homer

to

be

written

like

so.

but they don’t NEED to be and in fact it would probably take away from the actual lyricism of the work.

did you guys see the poem from a couple of days ago in poetry dot org’s daily poem it was so good and a treat to read

America killed 20-25% of North Koreans and destroyed 85% of their infrastructure, so how about you shut your mouth on how they should feel when the US is still performing military exercises on the land AMERICA is occupying

By “land America is occupying”, I assume you mean military bases. America does not occupy its bases. The states they’re on lease the land in exchange for military protection. It is a free transaction conducted between sovereign states. South Korea does, I assure you, want the Americans there.

North Korea brought their destruction upon themselves. It was entirely Kim Il-Sung’s idea to attack an ally of the foremost world power. Anyone would have told him it was a bad idea. But he fucked around and found out anyways.

I feel no remorse over the actions of my nation or those of the Americans in the Korean War. The destruction of fascism requires excessive force. No one complained when Britain bombed Dresden.

all the people criticizing Vance for “not being a good enough catholic” need to get a fucking grip. there are SO MANY THING to criticize Vance and every member of that administration for which aren’t “he’s not good at being a cult member”

Caesar was notably not corrupt, actually. His big thing was purging corruption from the Roman republic. You know who was corrupt? The Optimates - the old school conservative senators (like Brutus, Cassius, Decimus, Trebonius… all the big names in the conspiracy) who were perfectly happy getting rich off the system and were threatened by Caesar’s progressive policies.

get your history facts right, kids.

my favourite part about this is how perfectly the Vestiges’ responses are written.

> tangentially connected question

> goodbye

this is how the entire game is.

A dialogue screen from Elder Scrolls Online featuring Vivec.

As I have written in my Sixteenth Sermon, "throw bricks at transphobic people, for they deserve it."
That isn't a metaphor, by the way. Pelt the fuckers, with my blessing. ALMSIVI.

Where do I buy bricks?
Goodbye.

wtf i love elder scrolls online
