this is like when Jack Horner dedicated his entire life to arguing that Tyrannosaurus is actually not a super cool predator but in reality a cringe gay scavenger because his favourite dinosaur was often portrayed as tyrannosaurs’ prey
(elite paleontology reference)
can we talk about how lottienats disregard travnat/ mistynat/travis/misty as characters for their ship? they're insanely important to nat. and disregarding them means disregarding nat's development, drives, and ideals. they literally changed nat's perspective and character. like do you even care about lottienat as characters? and the whole 'i hate men so i'll ignore him and misty's a freak so i'll ignore her' like way to strip natalie of possibly the narratively two most important people to her
and i fear lottienats have a super surface level understanding be another thing is like. whether you like travnat/travis or not he's important for her characters development and drive for her entire life. there's a reason why travis haunts her story, whether you like him or not you gotta understand why he's fundamental for her character
I love Bernard he’s such a little dweeb. was watching the writing on the wall today and jim said something like “we’ve got it in the bag, this will really rock the boat” and you can just hear the RAGE in Bernard’s voice, like he’s gritting his teeth, when he says “you don’t put boats in bags”. adore this man.

i was watching the yes minster episode “The Skeleton in the Closet” today and had a random thought.
at about 10 minutes in, Sir Humphrey and Jim are walking through, like, a foyer? there’s big double doors behind them. and as they walk past, a woman comes through the doors and walks offstage the way they entered. they don’t interact with or even acknowledge her, and almost no viewer will even notice her presence. believe me when I say that her presence adds NOTHING to the episode.
but for some reason I started fixating on her (probably because she was kind of pretty and I’m very gay). who was she? why was she there? how did she get on the show? her cameo was so inconsequential that I can’t imagine she even got paid. did she just happen to walk through the shot and they left it in? or was she actually hired to be on screen for four seconds?
this post isn’t leading to any spectacular conclusion, it’s just a random thought. maybe I’ll write a fic about her character.
It's hilarious how you didn't respond to my ask, showing literal PROOF South Korea was a fascist dictatorship in its inception. Instead you claim the DPRK was somehow the fascist one
Look up Ilminism and Syngman Rhee :)
babe I went to bed I was going to respond in the morning. are you so obsessed with me that you can’t wait eight hours. (also you did not provide proof bbygirl. you just said it was true. that’s not proof. (although it doesn’t really matter because you weren’t making a super outlandish claim. Rhee’s dictatorship is established historical fact))
Trust me. I know about Rhee. I will be the first to point out that there was little to no difference between the South and the North during the Korean War. The difference is that the South reformed into a free Republic. The North did not. Had we not defended the South, it would have been absorbed and the whole peninsula would have stayed under dictatorial rule to this day.
Don’t believe me? Let’s look at another divided Cold War country where the UN was not quite as successful - Vietnam. Both sides of the Vietnam War were pretty brutal dictatorships (I would even argue that the South was worse.) And Vietnam remains under a one-party dictatorship to this day. Had the South remained free, I have no doubt that it would have reformed eventually, just as South Korea did, and by defending them we gave them that chance.
There is also such a thing as duty and right action. North Korea was the unlawful aggressor. Should we have simply sat back and appeased Kim Il-Sung as we did Hitler? I’m sure that no one would object to the West coming to Austria’s defence in 1938, even though Kurt von Schuschnigg’s government was effectively fascist. Or Poland - the Sanation Government of the Second Polish Republic was extremely autocratic. But when it was invaded by Germany and Russia, it was only right that we defended it.
Fascism cannot be defeated by sitting around twiddling our thumbs and waiting for the right nation to defend. Optics are and should be a non-consideration. The war is out there and we must fight it.

May? Don’t you mean Prairial?
would you do the ice bucket challenge to raise funds for the Republic
Ice is a limited resource during the warmer months, citizen. Surely you don't suggest I cover myself in ice during the winter? I mean, I once walked under the rain for two hours to cool off after a particularly excruciating meeting with the generals in Thuin, but it was in late May.
👎😞❌️🕷 become a better person
idk what this is in reference to but no thanks I’m good
