BETTIE PAGE & TEMPEST STORM in TEASERAMA β 1955, dir. Irving Klaw
From Hollywood to Japan. Jet lag is going to hit like a bitch. Someone load me up with caffeine before I go out there.
βsomeone brought a karaoke mic. that was a mistake.β
Toni playfully nudged the other with her elbow. βYouβre not gonna sing?β She chuckled, looking back over to where they were setting up an impromptu karaoke stage. βI feel like youβre the type to go all out on Destinyβs Child.β Seems like they were trying to set up lights now; It never occurred to her that they would take these get togethers so seriously with props and stages.
We could definitely do a one on one thing! It would be nice to get to know the woman thatβs been trying to take my belt π€
Drinks? Will anyone be joining or is it a 1 on 1 thing.. I will drag someone along if itβs more of a group outing.
Toni smiled at their little agreement, flipping her hand to lay palm-up on the table, a silent invitation for Megan to possibly hold her hand. There's no pressure to commit today, but Toni wants Megan to know that she's interested in her.
Her frows burrowed and she puffed out her cheeks at the Amazon woman in front of her. "Don't tell them that! I can pay if I want to."
"Ooh, bar snacks! I'll definitely do chips and dip." Toni fished into her jeans, placing her card on the table. "I'm still going to help pay, you can't stop me." She playfully poked her tongue out at the woman across from her. A finger dragged underneath the words on the menu, her eyes darting between the words and Megan. Their eyes meet, causing an embarrassed flush to spread across her face. 'First date of many.' Oh. Oh! It was a date!
"If this goes well, I'd love to see you a lot more!" Her stomach twisted and turned from nerves. "I just..." Toni looked down, trying to focus on her words. "I don't know if I'm ready to commit to anything right now?" She looked back up to assess Megan's reaction. Her eyes widened, hands slamming flat onto the table. "That could always change! I think you're a very beautiful woman, I just want to get to know you before we put a name on..." Her hand waves back and forth between them, "this."
Her head began to swim, thoughts rushing through her head. Her hands came up to rub her temples, head hanging down. "ugh, I'm sorry. I haven't been on a date in a long time... I'm not really good at the whole 'having a personal life outside of work' thing." Toni felt thick in the head, her mouth moving before her head could think about what she was saying. That's probably exactly the same way Megan had felt and Toni just made it seem like she was expecting more from just one night.
