Yes, Elethea was trained to fight from an early age (I imagine her martial training started when she was about 12-13) but it was always the graceful, noble type of fighting. It involved a lot of proper forms, precision, and whatnot. But the fighting Elethea actually winds up doing during the Blight is ugly and violent. It is closer to berserker/barbarian style fighting, she screams and growls, making dirty moves, and biting when she has to. And she loves it, she loves the power it gives her, especially in a time when she has been made to feel utterly powerless, with every choice taken from her. She loves killing, and that's the problem.

elethea's selfish yes but also literally everything she does is for her own warped perception of "the greater good" like. she's acting in self-service but in part its because she thinks she's whats best for the realm and like.... whats fucked up is that she's right
