ive been seeing so many ads that are like "tariffs are gonna start soon and nobodys gonna be able to ship anything !!! thats why you should buy our product while its on sale :)" and its been driving me nuts because its so ungodly out of touch

Nothing pisses me off more than those TikTok ads that’ll go something along the lines of:

“America is falling apart and we’re all quickly descending into fascism! Anyway go buy my T-shirt with some slapstick liberal stock phrase so I can exploit and profit off of your grief!”

I want to make very clear that the strike being over is a VERY good thing, and I recognize and believe that fully. It's a good thing for workers' rights as a whole, and I'm happy that people will have better pay and working conditions.

However, we need to remember that MANY of our favorite actors revealed that they were supportive of zionism and genocide during the strike. We cannot forget that. Please don't forget that. Be happy for this achievement in workers' rights, but do NOT forgive the actors who have supported the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

Do not allow them to celebrate. They do not get to celebrate while they support the murder of Palestinians.

people have lost sight of what "reclaiming" means I fear. calling someone else a slur in a way that translates to "I think you're stupid/a bad person/whatever" is not reclaiming that slur. using a term in the same way it has been historically used (i.e. to put people down, to reify a particular power dynamic, etc) is not "reclaiming". I don't care if you're part of the same group. you're just being an asshole
