I think mostly what young fandom types (and I guess younger people in general) who are very very invested in the idea that “20 is still basically a minor” need to understand is that the feeling of “I’m just a child pretending to be an adult, and everyone else around me is a REAL adult” is DEEPLY universal (and won’t stop, ever, by the way, sorry!) and also is not, like, praxis.
Believe me, I get it, but the self-infantilization needs to stop, especially when you’re trying to engage in conversations about actual children and the harms they can face. Yes, it is scary to wake up and realize you’re 22 and you still feel like you’re 15, but it happens to all of us. You’re an adult. You have to deal with it.

scully is a very special character because she's just. wrong all the time and she doesn't really care. she just cares about getting to the truth, getting answers. getting justice.
thinking about when she tells mulder she doesn't want to tell him he was wrong / there's no proof (however she says it). she may not believe in the same things he does, but it doesn't matter what she believes. they are always completely on the same side when it comes to the conspiracy. she wants mulder to get his proof and she'll be right there with him when he does.

what is even the point of bookmarking a work you don’t like??? I don’t bookmark often but it’s always to come back to something that was special or exceptional to me in some way. If I don’t like it I’m not saying anything, I just assume I wasn’t the target audience and leave. 🙄🥸
That’s how I assumed bookmarks worked too until I started getting “6/10 not long enough :/” in the bookmarks on my fics in the last 2-3 years and then people on r/ao3 told me to shut up and be grateful readers even read my fic.
I like creppy stuff and reading. She/Her. 20. Currently obsessed with The X-Files.
