Don't know if I'm dissapointed that norris didn't fuck up the start or happy that he's getting his shit together. I really liked his little streak of bottling.

It's hard being female/queer/poc in sport fandoms when the sport itself is not inclusive. When the drivers themselves are not representative of these groups, I do not expect their views and values to be representative of these groups.

That being said. I can still hold them accountable for their actions/inactions.

I like rooting for certain drivers on track but that does not mean I agree with their political or social affiliations. I cannot stop them from being racist/misogynistic/queerphobic in their personal lives and I can, in some degree, seperate their performance as an athlete from their views. What I cannot do is sit by and watch them perpetuate discrimination in the sport itself. Whether it be on track or during media duties.

And yeah, drivers have no obligation to act or be a certain way but then we as fans also have the right to not support or like them.

I agree and disagree. I don't think norris is ready THIS year, his mentality and overall attitude just isn't where it should be. But in the future I think he might be. I would still hate it, but that's just me being a bitch.
