“Don’t let your disorder define you”
Okay but do you support the people whose disorders do define them?
Do you support people with the chronic illnesses who have had to develop whole lives around their conditions? Do you support the intellectually disabled people whose whole way of thinking is defined by their disorder? Do you support the people with personality disorders who literally have a disorder as a personality? Do you support the autism/ADHD people whose disorder you can’t separate from who they are? Do you support the DIDOSDD people who have multiple definitions of themselves because of their disorder?
Or are you just saying that because a disorder defining someone means you can’t ignore it.
when you’re young u can only romanticize your pain and hurt for so long. one day you’re going to realize u have to stop sabotaging yourself by assuming your hurt is all that makes you. you have to consider all your good qualities. that u are a bright and creative person who might’ve been dealt a bad hand, and all u can control is how you treat yourself. you have to be kind to yourself to survive. you have to let go of that impulse to treat yourself poorly because u think u deserve it. forgive yourself for whatever makes you feel like you don’t deserve the same love and care as everyone else. please.
bitches just want us all to be perfectly perisex more than anything
I've been considering shaving my head because of the pain. It's still constant and my hair makes it worse. Is it stupid? Will I regret it? Will I feel like I'm "giving in" to the pain? Does that even make sense? I'm tired of feeling like I have no control over the pain. And this feels like a way I can maybe at least not hurt myself more and gain a little control back? I don't know. I'm tired
{let’s keep trying} {we’ll get through this}
Living with chronic pain.
Denmark: we present you, Vikings
Europe, crying: yes
i NEED you to remember this: you are allowed to be angry at your doctors. you are allowed to be furious. you are allowed to be mad at your nurses and technicians and neurologists and psychiatrists and medical assistants. they are not god. they are human beings and they work in a system that wears them raw, and that is unfair, but it isn't an excuse to treat you badly. i'm not necessarily saying you should throw a brick through the window of their car, but you can, should, must be angry with them for ignoring you, demeaning you, dehumanizing you, dismissing you, acting like you're lying, talking only about your weight, failing to acknowledge you past your symptoms, etc etc etc. you are an equal to your doctor. you are a human being and so are they. do not treat them as beyond reproach. you are allowed to be angry at your doctors.
I don't have a scooter attachment or any motor attachment for my wheelchair, but I sometimes drive fast bc I am able to and I love it. I'm genuinely considering getting a "ringing bell" (idk I forgot the English word for it) and/or a "honking thing". Bc people walk sooo slow and I'm zooming ahead and most people are completely unaware of their surroundings
For the Danes or Danish speaking individuals, the words I'm thinking of are "ringeklokke og båthorn" :D
I work full time but am recently multiply disabled, having a ton of appts and having to take intermittent medical leaves due to my health. Times are extra hard rn so I'm trying to supplement my income!

I love spoon theory bc you can literally explain it exactly the same way it was originally explained, with actual spoons.
But also I feel like the failing phone battery is more accurate lately.
Like, you charge it all night, but it only slow charges. It never gets to full battery anymore.
When it says full battery, it doesn't mean the same as everyone else's, because it'll be gone twice as fast.
You have to limit your app usage bc of the battery drain, and even when you aren't doing anything the percentage is slowly going down.
Keeping it plugged in full time to charge means you can use your apps longer, but since it's slow charging it'll eventually reach 0 even when plugged in.
Keeping it plugged in full time also means the battery gets reliant on being constantly plugged in.
Actual percentages are a lie.
That shit will turn off with 5-10% battery still showing and there's nothing you can do about it.
