Bc u gorgeous ppl encouraged me to write another poem, I suppose I started brainstorming ideas.

I love starting a poem based off a phrase, or a saying, or relationship, or feeling. I dislike one word poems, they don't inspire me.

STAY WITH ME

A poem.

Some days I look deep into your eyes, and what I find there shocks me.

Not due to fear or surprise, but because what I witness is a different type of frightening.

It is adoration,

And I am undeserving.

I wish to glue my palm to yours, and eternally feel your hair in my hands,

To lead you through every street that you grace with your steps.

Your smile is blinding, and when I look again,

I commit a triple take; your laugh like heaven.

If I could manage a lifetime with you, I'd have lived, not just survived.

So stay with me,

Perhaps forever...

...or maybe just for tonight.

so i got a dm on insta from my friend in all caps "IS THIS YOU" with an attachment and i had a heart attack cause i was like "omfg did somebody find my fugueing tumblr" but no! we're good! my school's choir put up a post listing the bass choir members next year and that's what that was about.
