Y’know, since animus magic can do pretty much anything, I think it would be cool to see a magical “industrial” revolution in the Wings of Fire series. Just imagine anything we have in the real world that dragons could have because magic could make it possible. I know it might sound like a stupid idea but tbh it’s a pretty interesting concept.

Furthermore, Pantalan dragons are more technologically advanced than their cousins over on Pyrrhia, so that could speed up the progression of technological advancement even more. I mean, I’m pretty sure it happened in our world. So why can’t it happen in Wings of Fire?

Y’know, for so long I wanted to create something involving civilized animals, ESPECIALLY cats.

But then I realized I should just make my own species. That way I can do whatever the hell I want!

so uhh yeah that’s what i’ve been doing for the past few days. just. workin on a new species

it’s gonna be an alien species btw. And don’t worry I’m not gonna make it humanoid (because to be honest I find humanoids incredibly fucking boring to write about.), but it is sapient.

I’ll share my little abominations with you once I think they’re ready.

Hey everyone. Haven’t posted in a while. But I just thought I’d just dump some recent sketches of mine here.

OK so these 3 are concept sketches for an alien species I didn’t end up fleshing out that much cause I got distracted with other things…

And these are sketches for my version of catfolk! I tried to make them look like they actually evolved from felines. And I’m not the best at drawing skeletons, but, hey, I tried!

These 3 pages are sketches I did trying to figure out what seadrakes (a silly creature i made up the other day) look like. Seadrakes are basically dragons if they didn’t fly but could swim pretty good. That’s all I have for now

And as a matter of fact, these are the very sketches that inspired seadrakes! haha i’m very proud of myself

CDaF #1- Dakota Dawson

Dakota Dawson is the titular character and one of the protagonists of DaF. She’s the one I’ve had around for the longest, having been created in late 2019. Generally, she’s the kind and reasonable one, but she does have a temper and will fuck you up given the right circumstances.

Dakota and Friends, or DaF for short, is a failed project that I worked on from 2019 to 2024, but I might bring it back somehow.

It featured a cast of anthropomorphic animals living in your typical modern city, going through all the troubles regular people experience and more.

It also had a few AUs centered around the characters living in certain time periods and places other than the typical modern city. The one I think about the most is one that I titled House of Memories, which takes place in 1920s Russia and featured quite the cast of characters.

Generally, I’m pretty much doing CDaF (which is short for Catified Dakota and Friends) because I want to practice my drawing skills and the kid in me would scream if she saw her characters drawn as cats.

So yeah, I have other things planned for this project as well. And I will try to upload these drawings daily.

uhh yeah i didn’t watch frozen yesterday it was too hot and i was sick

when i was like 8 years old my teacher and I wrote a story about a bluebird named Bella who falls off a branch and breaks her wing, and is then taken to the hospital by a cat named Cloee and they lived happily ever after :)

but for the book itself i was using a program that didn’t have any assets that looked like actual bluebirds so i ended up having to make her look like this

And in my head (since I never wrote it down) I decided that Bella was actually a fictional species of bluebird called the “parrot bluebird”. Yeah I’ve had a passion for animals and biology since elementary school it’s nothing new

I still think about this to this day as a reminder to myself that I’m not new to the art of creature design.
