What a shame we haven't seen him in full Clan McDonald gear since 2014, when the cast were promoting What We Did On Our Holiday (I think?). DT looks magnificent in a kilt.
David Tennant and Kelly Macdonald
EXACTLY the kind of story we need, not only nowadays - but any day, actually.
Just finished the panel with Rich Keeble at Ineffable Con.
He told the most hilarious story about him, David, Michael and Jon Hamm all sitting around playing Wordle whilst waiting for their scenes.
David admitted he didn't get it that day, defeated, and went off to set, popping in his contacts on the way. The rest of them continued to sit there on their phones, brows furrowed in concentration as they try to solve it.
Jon Hamm gets it in four, then goes off to set, leaving Rich with Michael who is still frowning at his phone.
Then Michael suddenly jumps up and shouts victoriously, something along the lines of "YES!! Got it in THREE!! I've got to go and tell David... I'm sure he won't mind me interrupting his scene."
And David, deadpan, just sticks up his middle fingerđź–•
So basically we've learned that the version of themselves we saw in Staged is EXACTLY who they are 🤣

the worst part about the ending of season 2 is that it's actually very well written. it makes perfect sense and it's a very realistic conflict which makes it hurt even more. but i do have hope because this conflict IS solvable. and also, there is absolutely no way neil is going to give aziraphale and crowley a bad ending.
the way crowley takes off his glasses before his confession?? like he puts away his shields and becomes so vulnerable?? the way he puts them back on as soon as he realises what aziraphale means???? AND HE KISSES HIM WITH THE GLASSES ON?????????? HUH???????
if there’s one thing season 2 showed us it’s that of course crowley’s love language is acts of service. crowley who comes from hell, a place designed to make existence as tedious and miserable as possible through cramped dirty offices and every inconvenience imaginable. and of course aziraphale’s love language is physical touch. aziraphale who comes from heaven, a place of infinite flat, impersonal office space, inhabited by angels so averse to any sort of contact (emotional or otherwise) that they struggle to touch material items and turn their noses up at food and drink. and of course aziraphale and crowley meet each other and think to themselves i’m not going to make you suffer with that, you deserve more, i’m going to give you what i wasn’t.
angel!crowley had such john smith vibes
No but like listen to me, the ENTIRE REASON that Gabriel could throw away everything he had for a happy ending with his demon love when Aziraphale couldn't is that Gabriel never actually cared. Abandoning heaven is easy if you don't believe in anything it stands for and were only ever in it for the power. But Aziraphale? Aziraphale is an idealist. Fundamentally, when he goes against the letter of heaven's law, it's because he believes that he's fulfilling a deeper obligation to heaven's true purpose.
Aziraphale's values and goals are good in the real sense of the word and not merely Good in the visible and performative way that most of heaven operates, but he still believes that heaven can and should epitomise that goodness. Conversely, Crowley (the one being Aziraphale has ever met who actually understands and shares Aziraphale's values) has given up on institutional salvation. He's seen both heaven and hell up close and knows they're functionally identical, except that heaven has nicer views. They want the same things, but they can't agree on how to get them.
Gabriel and Beelzebub don't have this conflict. Neither of them cared about anything enough to put it above their own self interest - it's just that their feelings for each other transformed that self interest into something softer, something that maybe grew into real empathy. This is why the path to their happy ending came easier for them, and Crowley and Aziraphale have to walk a more winding road.
Incredible! This literally empty face, these "cracked" words. Stained glass style nailed immaculately - and at the same time it's so telling.
Yes, I'm a bit obsessed with the TLV at the moment.
“Two almighty civilizations burning. Tell me… how did that feel? You must have been like God…”
thing is - and hear me out - if s3 does by any minute chance incorporate any suggestion of a sex scene, it is imperative for me that they commit to the bit. i need crowley to nearly topple over trying to get out of his jeans, i need aziraphale to complain that they cant do anything downstairs because that would be scandalous, and i need them to trip over going up the stairs because they keep getting distracted. i need one of them to accidentally get an elbow to the face, i need them to have a long forgotten book digging into one of their backs, and aziraphale is horrified when crowley launches it across the room, and i need there to be hard cut to whickber street having a huge power surge, lines sparking, all the power going out, and every car alarm in a 2-mile radius start screaming, i don't need it to be explicit or overly romantic but i do need it to be fucking funny
Doctor Who, Good Omens and basically everything DT is in | Not a shipper per se, but feel rather partial to tensimm f***ed-up dynamics. Some other stuff as well - Classic Rock (mostly British), Art Deco, etc
