WHY love one, but eat the other? Most of us have had pets sometime in our lives, and if you’re anything like me, love them with all our hearts and think of them as a family member. We all care about animals and none of us want them to suffer. What makes cows, pigs, chicken or fish any different? Something to think about… It’s how we’ve been brought up and conditioned to see as ‘normal’. People are still horrified when they hear of other cultures eating dogs or cats, but isn’t that exactly the same as eating a steak? Why not? They may not look like us or speak or language, but their ability to feel is the same. Just like we do, all animals, all living beings feel pain, joy and suffering. If eating a dog is wrong, then so is eating any other animal. While society and the media try to normalise these things, in the end only WE can change our actions to reflect our deepest values. Open our eyes and question the norm, because that’s where peace starts. It starts with us💛🌿✨
