throwing off the yoke of yourself
Lil comic I thought of while watching @dropoutdottv's Adventuring Academy with Ross Bryant as a guest
one of my favourite episodes!
Due to the robins getting progressively younger, A lot of neighbourhood kids seem to think they can also be a superhero. Jason, who knows firsthand the dangers of being a kid vigilante (he died as one, after all) opens up a Martial arts Centre for the kids of Gotham.
there’s no payment required, and you can see kids who look like they wouldn’t be out of place in the Wayne manor suburb helping a younger crime alley attendee perfect a punch-and-grab combo.
He calls it ‘Jaybirds nest’, runs it as many nights he can afford, and tries to discourage the young children from a hero’s life while still teaching them how to defend themselves.
When you and your friend are both autistic and obsessed with similar BS, you spend two hours creating a floor plan for a fictional character in your fanfic. It is cursed and I hate it deeply with much love.
Here's the thing, occasionally I want a boyfriend. Like I wanna be kissed, I wanna kiss someone, it's so much fun to make out and cuddle and talk shit, yk? But like. It's a lot of effort to form a new relationship like that, and I don't really want it with any of my friends. Or, at least, any of my friends who aren't straight. One of them is a very classic 'good boy' and I've been a bit in love with him for a while, but I can never make a move because he doesn't like men. So, whatever. I'll forget about it and stop caring for a bit soon, but right now I'd like to do a bit of kissing and heavy petting, yk?
Divine doesn't even register to me as a religion word anymore. That word refers to girlthings like me and the weird sex we have
Y'know, if a formerly well-behaved straight A student suddenly starts almost not passing their classes and crying all the time and getting into trouble, maybe the default conclusion from every authority figure should not be that they are lazy and simply need to pull themselves together. Maybe instead you should give them stimulants or HRT or let them kill their parents and see if one of those three things resolves the issue.
messy sketch on the phone because it was the only thing I could draw on😞 I haven't drawn on my phone for a long time, so you can see a lot of mistakes here BUT I DON'T CARE guys I enjoyed the process.
I'm gonna eat the FUCKING. WALLS. these bitches can't SCHEDULE me a clopen, AFTER TELLING ME I CAN'T SWITCH SHIFTS WITH SOMEONE BECAUSE THEN I'D BE CLOPENING. I COULD'VE SWORN WE HAD LANGUAGE AGAINST THAT IN OUR CONTRACT, BUT NOOOO, SO I CAN'T EVEN GRIEVE IT AND INSTEAD I'M EATING THE DRYWALL.
Someone needs to fuck my eye socket with a knife, I'm so done.
(For context I work a Five AM and then they want me to come in for a Two AM, which may not seem that bad except have we considered circadian rhythm)
So much of my writing recently has been in messages and it's so funny to me. Like there can be a whole conversation between one section and another just because of message limits. It's so stupid
I want less of "the Drakes were terrible people and parents and Bruce rescues poor sad Timmy" (not knocking the trope it just got old for me)
And more of Bruce suffering a hell of his own creation as he tries to figure out how to parent Timothy "latchkey kid" Drake, who doesn't respect the concept of having parental supervision in general and more specifically Bruce's authority as his new guardian at all, because Tim was basically his caretaker for the entire beginning of his tenure as Robin
Any kind of Parental Action would have Bruce choking in his own hypocrisy. Like... imagine trying to get your teenage son to go to bed when he's been putting your ass down for naps for like, years, by that point. Imagine telling him to eat healthier when at 13 years old he was helping your butler with designing your meal plan 'cause you were too depressed to eat
Bruce gently tries to get him to stop working on a case to take a break, and Tim raises a single withering eyebrow (he learned this from Alfred) and Bruce immediately shuts up. Tim only listens to Bruce when he wants to and being legally adopted by the man hasn't changed that
(And I want fics of the rest of the batfam reacting to this dynamic soooooooo bad)
