Ok but can u imagine being a straight actor vehemently playing a character as gay and spending the next 30 years talking about how the character is gay in every single interview/comicon/video and even writing two plays and a novel about it, to finally get to voice act the character at the ripe age of 82 and canonically make them gay.

I didn't know DS9 was so good. Why did no one tell me? Why did I wait all these years to start watching it?
