A small girl stood at the door leading to the mayorās office. She didnāt want to interrupt, but she slowly creaked open the door, peeking her head through to see what was happening.Ā
Ā The mayor stood behind his desk, walking over to the window behind him. He looked through it, and started to cry. Heās been crying a lot recently, which the little girl knew about.Ā
She just had to ask him what was wrong.
Ā She slowly walked over to the man, and once she reached him, tugged on his shirt. After the man noticed she was there, she spoke up. āWhyāre you crying?ā The young girl asked quietly, seeing the older manās back turned to her, putting his palm on the glistening window of the factory.Ā
Ā "Thatās not important, Eleanor.ā He said, staring out the window. Eleanor was too short to see out of the window, so she couldnāt tell what he was staring at.Ā
The little girl let out a small "hmphā, and asked again, āI wanna know why youāre crying, itās important to me!ā she said, crossing her arms a bit.Ā
Ā "Y'know, seeing a young person like you wondering why grown people are upset⦠it gives me a small hint of hope that people will change,ā the man said, not turning to face the girl.Ā
Ā He didnāt know how to show kindness to this young girl trying to help him. No oneās offered him help in years. Heās only in isolation in this giant factory he made.
Ā "It reminds me of how people can be horrible, disgusting in nature. You arenāt, however, youāre that small beacon of light in a room of darkness,ā he said, slightly chuckling. It wasnāt a happy chuckle, it sounded like it needed.. something.
Ā "But you didnāt tell me why youāre crying!ā The girl impatiently stomped her foot, the sound echoing through the room.Ā
Ā "I havenāt seen my wife and daughter in years, kid. You wouldnāt understand.ā heād sigh, still crying. Heād let out a breathy sigh, taking his hand off the window.
Ā "This might not help, but..ā The little girl shuffled through her skirt pockets, grabbing something out of it. "Can you turn around? I wanna give you something,ā The girl smiled, holding the object in her hands.Ā
Ā The man sighed, turning around. He yanked on his suspenders, looking down at the much shorter girl. āWhat is it, kid?ā he said, his eyes shifting from the floor to the girl.Ā
Ā "Do you want a lollipop? They always make me happy, so I thought theyād make you happy,ā the little girl said, holding a small lollipop in her already small hands. Ā
He froze up, dropping to his knees. He stayed quiet for a moment, before speaking in a shaky tone, āā¦Sure, kid. Iāll take it,ā He grabbed the lollipop out of her hands. It was a simple cherry lollipop, like those ones youād find at a convenience store on the corner of a street. He slowly opened the wrapper, putting the sucker into his mouth.Ā
Ā "Yay! You took it!ā he little girl cheered, hugging the man. She was still shorter than him, despite the man being on his knees. Before long, the man hugged back, smiling.Ā
āPeople in this disgusting, hopeless world donāt deserve people like you, you know that right?ā he said, a small laugh escaping from him.Ā
Ā "Now, thatās just not true!ā The girl backed up, putting her hands on his shoulders. "If there were no good people, thereād be no one to reform the bad people, and then thereād only be bad people,ā the girl quietly shuffled backward, grabbing more suckers out of her pockets.Ā
āDo you want more? I have a lot from the candy store,ā she smiled, sitting on the ground next to the man. The man choked on a sob but smiled a bit.Ā
āSure, kid. We can split them so itās even, alright?ā The man laughed, and the little girl giggled shortly after.Ā
Ā "Yeah! We can share, thatās why I brought them!ā she said, dumping the suckers on the ground in front of them. The man sighed, slowly splitting the lollipops apart.
Ā "Splitting things apart helps, sometimes⦠If itās failing, thereās no point in trying to recover it. Especially if itās something thatās been failing for a long time. I was failing as both a husband and a dad.ā He laughed, slowly tearing up again.Ā
āWell⦠youāve been acting like the dad I never had, so I guess itās a win-win, maybeā¦ā The girl smiled at him, giving him a hug.Ā
Ā The man froze up yet again, tears streaming down his face. āYou.. see me as a dad? Weāve only known each other for a week,ā he said, tears pooling onto the floor. The little girl nodded, a soft smile appearing on her face.Ā
Ā "..The only thing I needed to know was that people appreciate me like family.. thatās a beautiful thing to me. Thank you.ā he said, tears still running down his face like rain.Ā
"Itās okay.. weāre healing together,ā The little girl said, a small sob coming from her throat.Ā
Ā "Emotional scars take time to heal.. we can fix them together.ā
THE NEW EPISODE WAS GREAT!!! Anyways have them
gender is cancelled
Two more weeks of gender!
I watch bfg, mo, and one religiously but Iāll check out the other ones!!!
So with the resurgence of new object shows this quarantine, I've begun to realize that not a lot of object shows (outside of II, BFB/TPOT and OSO) barely get any attention! So I decided to draw some of my favorite object shows that deserve way more credit than given to them.
We have in the current roster:
Battle For Grandma (BFG), a semi-joke show created by SacriStuff, which surprisingly has a lot of heart and some genuinely interesting twists and funny jokes! There are 7 episodes out of the 11 currently out, each of them 5-10 minutes long. Highly recommended for newer OSC members, but good for oldies to.
ONE, a 6 episode long series created by Cheesy Hfj, the first episode Freefall coming out a few weeks ago. What I like about this show is that the contestants are more than just objects, they have proper lives and names and given the short run time of the show, I think we'll get a episode centered on each character. It also seems like outside of the island they were transported too, recover is nonexistent, we get this really funny scene with Tomato (the literal 11 month old child) that explains this. It has a good interesting concept that I hope only grows more. If you haven't seen the first episode please do!
Mysterious Object Super Show (MOSS) is one of more noticed ones, as its been in the making for a while from what I know. The first episode, "Something along the lines of a rainy day" released a few days before ONE, and is 46 minutes long. Created by Polysided, the episode plays a lot like BFB 1, but longer and the first 20 minutes is all about introducing us to these characters. 56 objects with 7 teams of 8. Sounds alot like BFB, but its really not. Firstly its in my opinion better than BFB when it comes to introducing characters and the characters themselves, some of them being extremely unique in design, voice and even power. It also isn't afraid to nearly KILL one of its characters, not for the sake of a joke. Balances Tension and Comedy almost to a tea, and the actions scenes are really smooth. This deserves way more credit than what it has, and really every object show fan (especially ones who like to stick with BFB) should give it a watch.
Modern Objects, while not being your typical object show, was made by Ricktoons and released January 2019, the second episode being In production since then. It follows the siblings Spade (a mooching free-loader) and Bucket (short tempered and hardworking) struggle to make a living. After an argument, Bucket kicks out Spade and he and his friend Map have to find a job. I don't want to say more but despite it being more sitcom based, it really needs more attention. While the Voice Acting can be a bit clunky, the story and animation is top notch, along with the jokes being timed perfectly. If you want a change of pace, you should check this out.
Finally I want to talk about Paper Puppets Take 2, created by YellowAngiru. A sequel to a series of the same name, Take 2 makes the miraculous feat of it all being made in a PowerPoint. WOW. It looks like Stopmotion 2D and its really nice to watch, harking back to S1 where all the contestants were Paper cutouts. With 7 episodes so far, we already have a decent storyline set in motion, loosley following the events of S1. It is VASTLY underated and a lot like II2, has only improved with each installment. This and the S1 finale for extra context all deserve a watch.
We also have The Object Project, II2, TPOT, BFB and OSO, but those are quite popular already.
Thanks for 11 years!
I really like.. number sevenRequests are basically always open lmaoI play roblox!! Iām Scribblou :)!!
