before the poll, a quick definition of terms:
"mutual" - you found this post from a mutual (on their blog or your dash) "following" - you found this post from someone you're following, but who isn't following you "random" - you found this by scrolling through someone's blog, who you don't follow. this includes people following you "For You" - you found this on the For You page "recommended" - you found this in a "Check out these blogs" popup, or a "recommended" post when looking at a different post "other" - you found this post some other way. comment how? "reblog ✅" - you're going to reblog, queue, or schedule this post "reblog ❌" - you're NOT going to reblog, queue, or schedule this post
with that out of the way:
I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.
you know whats antisemitic? those vile freaks in the israeli government desperately trying to associate segregation and genocide with judaism while abusing the collective trauma of the holocaust to guilt people into supporting their crimes and calling pro-palestinian jews "traitors". ive been listening to many jewish voices these past few days including rabbis, orthodox jews and jewish scholars and they dont support the hundreds of israeli war crimes, many dont even acknowledge the state of israels existence in the first place.
judaism is a beautiful religion. it is not culpable of the atrocities israel is doing in its name. neither are random jewish people, many of which have never even stepped foot in the occupied land, who are now being harassed for it. if you play into this idea, you are spreading israels zionist propaganda and doing them a favour.
#next up? giant detailed lobsters 😏
Actually perfect
this is a fun style to work in
I am writing a research paper for a Women Gender Studies class at the University of Tennessee. I am writing on the relationship between the LGBTQ+ community and fanfiction. If you read fanfiction at all please take this quiz. I understand that because there is queer and lgbtq in the title there will be sample bias but I do not plan on comparing between non-queer and queer readers.
One day you think: I want to die. And then you think, very quietly, actually I want a coffee. I want a nap. A sandwich. A book. And I want to die turns day by day into I want to go home, I want to walk in the woods, I want to see my friends, I want to sit in the sun. I want a cleaner room, I want a better job, I want to live somewhere else, I want to live.
Wow, now there's a bot going around on Ao3 telling people that the "moderators" will delete works from "deprecated" fandoms and impose bans.
Fearmongering bullshit, but it's fearmongering bullshit that seems to be taking advantage of the recent spotlight series in order to trick authors into deleting their fics.
Just. Why.
What the hell does anyone get out of making these bots.
