Когда хочешь следовать сюжету, но не можешь пройти мимо места рыбалки:
When you want to follow the plot, but you can't pass by the fishing spot:
Froggish here! This is not an in-character post whatsoever, Válkyrie has nothing to do with the sin their author committed. However I, the author of this very account, feel the need to share the following:
I present to you...
all hail frog Cyran... Cyrog? Frogran? Cyribbit?
Some comment about a frog coming home in the Merlinverse inspired me, and... Well, I did this.
I do not regret a single bit of it.
They had a divine purpose to fulfill. Now they're as free as wind, as free as a bird, as free as a blooming field of piercing blue flowers. Free to roam, expand and learn.
They now bear scars left by magic, their soul is far from being pure, yet they wouldn't have it any other way - as long as they can keep people guessing if they should be addressed as "Mister" or "Miss". Because it's neither. ;)
-They/Them
-Uses a different moniker when not in their universe
-- > Transcendental Magpie.
-- > signs as Mx. Cellophane at first, but stops later. (nod to Chicago)
-Used to counteract Merlin and Cyran (Eden) in their universe.
- N Better at their Esperia's rendition of Russian now. Fully trilingual .
-- > now that that's done, they are hopping dimensions, eager to learn everything available. Socialising and mending past wounds (not those on their body, those are there to stay)
-- > friends to lovers with a different universe's Cyran.
-Still severely thalassophobic.
-Still polite and courteous, albeit with a touch of tiredness now.
-Socially inexperienced/unsure
-- > They have theoretical knowledge, but not enough practice (aside from professional relationships)
-Still plays the contrabass, still dances (their hobbies remain adamant)
-SEVERELY burnt out
-(Partially because of ↑that) speaks slower, not as sure in any of the languages that they speak
-Uses their title of Magister more often than they used to in their LB Arc (use, in this context is, for example, when signing something, or when being addressed formally)
-Experience gender dysphoria more often
-- > their most often purchased item is shapeshifting scrolls.
-Might have a mild existential crisis if you ask them about themself (e.g. "Why do you have the soul that you have?" or "Are you mortal?")
-Hugin is the only friend they still have since the Lightbearer Arc. (As both Dionel and Berial have been sealed away.)
-After some time of rest, they will return to politics, now on a higher plane than merely their dimension.
-A bit more open.
-- >but insecure in their ability to befriend someone.
-Less prim and proper. (Sometimes unsure about it too)
-Returns to their homeland more often than the one time they visited during their whole Lightbearer Arc (80+ years)
-A bit scared of the plethora of new feelings that they are experiencing (partially through their interdimensional wanderings.)
V/Arcane Council - despite not having to do much with the rest of the council is now more open to contact and is eternally grateful to all its members (warm, welcome, a part of the council)
N! V/AltDim!Cyran - mutual curiosity leading to mutual trust to friendship and some very uncertain affection from Válkyrie's side (unreciprocated) which they will figure out to have been purely carnal, so they're still unable to love per se and, overtime, get over it. (friendship turned confusion and almost risking break but then it's all good at the end)
V/Overall or Unclear - generally positive towards magisters and other folks from other dimensions but some of them really creep Válkyrie out. Like, REALLY. And they're confused about how to feel about some of them
V/Hugin - oh they're stuck together until either of them kicks the bucket, alright. Best friends, with a bond stronger than any of Válkyrie's morals or Hugin's creations. Very trusting, very respectful. They will definitely go through water and fire together, and then have a drink and a laugh - without any formalities needed - afterwards.
V/Windmaedchen - still besties /j
Yeah, thats Válkyrie for you folks. In roleplays I'll be using them from now on. There will be updates to both posts (bits and pieces 1 and this one.) and I'll make them a world lore post sooner or later. :D
A little sketch/study of Vasyl' during their late school years.

Favourite moustache-Merlin 💞
There's a ponderous knock at the door, followed by two smaller touches along the grain of the wood. It's muffled, but there's a fond-sounding mumble about "cedarwood" before the door creaks open. "Hello, Magister? I was told to just come in, but I thought I'd at least knock..." They seem to trail off, like they've forgotten the rest of their thought. Taking a small breath, they refocus on the scene in front of them. "I was...also told that you're well traveled, and might be able to help me track down the origins of a plant I was studying. It appeared rather suddenly in my study with some lingering dimensional energy." - magister-verdant
(magister Kyrié)
The sweet scent of smoke and cedarwood immediately fills their lungs. Kyrié peeks out from the arch that leads to their kitchen.
"Ah, good evening, good evening! I'm glad you were able to find my humble abode. Come in, make yourself at home! Unless, of course, you're planning to take me to the source of your worries. I'll ring you some tea if you so wish." Kyrié smiles broadly, the corners of their eyes crinkling, as they offer a small bow of their head in greeting. They then approach and close their door quickly, before facing the guest again. Their voice is even and slightly gravelly, which isn't surprising, given their age.
"I'm quite flattered that it is I whom you decided to turn to with your... Predicament, chère. I may not be the crème de la crème among dimension travelers but I'll be happy to offer a helping hand. Should I end up not being helpful - fret not, I'll redirect you to someone who probably knows way more than even I do about all things interdimensional. Nonetheless!" The Magister chirps rather gleefully, strolling over to one of their many bookcases.
"First and foremost, I can tell you that only a few dimensions are unstable enough for flora or fauna to traverse the dimensional barrier. Could you describe the plant to me, perhaps? Better yet- its energy?"
Finally done with it! It's not a very high-quality doodle, but I'm happy with it. It has what it needs and it does its job. Besides - now I have a nice little self-portrait
So yeah, all the flags fitted onto all the sillies:
Kyrié is genderqueer and aromantic (but NOT asexual, probs multisexual)
The smoke™ (a.k.a. Magister(?) Kour) is xenogender, occasionally leaning more towards agender
And their creator is agender and pan...ish?
Anyways, HAPPY PRIDE Y'ALL!
(also, on a sidenote - the entire outfit of Froggish (me) is heavily based on my real life wardrobe :3)
Little pride month celebration W. I. P.
Also known as: FROGGISH face reveal! :D
Gonna add my silly billies next to their whimsical and definitely not scrawny creator, all with their flags :3
(this user's main (non-Merlin!) AFKJ OC)
Magister Valkyrie - the Silver Diplomat.
Unafraid of any traditionally controversial opinions and with their own riddle of a moral code, Valkyrie is a jack of all trades amongst their field. That being Esperia's politics and other conflicts which they are more passionate about than magic. Eager to discuss, consider and debate, they never pick a clear side, working for no one but themself. An understanding smile and some blatant, sometimes almost scandalously so, honesty - alongside those two Valkyrie thrives to find every possible compromise to every possible conflict. Sometimes - it is but the solution that their questionable moral compass led them to... But shhh! That's a secret ;)
Colleagues and somewhat friends with Cyran, friends with Hugin and Berial. Acquainted with Merlin, no particular opinion on them/him/her. Slight coldness towards Temesia (if acquainted).
(Them and their lore are still a work in progress! Updates to their lore deepening will follow accordingly!)
...
Válkyrie is not androgynous enough....
I'M GONNA REDESIGN THEM AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME! >:)
© Magister Vasyl', about their fate as a Merlin.
They never wanted to be Merlin. They were never supposed to. It was by accident that their newly opened portal led them to a world, where the soul of Merlin was seeking a new vessel. It was by accident, yet now they're bound to this role. Ever-changing, versatile... Right after they finished being mentored by the former Silver Diplomat.
They've learnt much more than mere dimensional travel from their ancient mentor. Much more than they were supposed to. They learnt how to think. Carrying an almost eerie resemblance of Kyrié themself - inwardly and outwardly... However they don't tread the fickle path of the facades that Kyrié, their former mentor, took. They're very honest. Sure, they might lie here and there, but ultimately - they're honest. Sometimes blunt, even, about their opinions and views. Much more blunt than the one they looked up to. If Kyrié could be confusing and strange in their own eyes - Vasyl' is ten times that. Always thinking. Often failing to find the right words to say. Always being worn out by their duty. Fluctuating constantly while trying to figure out where their heart truly lies. "Merlin... What kind of title is that? So odd..".
A painful but also soothing experience to draw him. Finally, a proper portrait in my AFKJ style of Cyran. His face is so pretty. T_T And his hands, too! <3
