Can we stop acting like two people deeply loving each other has to mean they have something romantic or sexual going on? Can we stop talking as if platonic love just can't be that deep? Because that's not true. Platonic love can be just as deep, and sometimes even deeper, than romantic love. What I'm saying is, we need to stop putting romance on this pedestal and act like every other form of love is less important.

Can confirm, as a person who spent 7 years of their childhood in Alaska, I'll never quite relive that feeling of being eight years old, and looking out my window and watching this moose - two times my size - stand right outside my bedroom window, casually chewing on a rosebush, and I'm only separated from that thing by a thin sheet of glass, multiple times a week for at least three years. Even the animals are huge - mosquitos notably included.

Another thing I love is the mildly-comedic contrast between seeing these epic, picturesque landscapes - you'd see it in a Lord of the Rings movie, and there's just... a Target in front of it. Or you'll see something online like "Johnson Family Dental," and it's the most idyllic photo you've ever seen.

One of the funniest failures of US school system is the fact they are legally obligated to teach us all the states but they never actually show how big Alaska is like I have actually had teachers tell me that Texas is the biggest state. We have all just convinced ourselves that Alaska is that small shrunken down thing on most US maps and the people that know it's the largest state can almost never accurately describe how large it is.
