Antigonian task: when someone does something fundamental bad (and a bit stupid) and you take it upon yourself to do something about it, regardless of the consequences, you will have to face.

Medean task: (1)when you do everything, sacrifice everything for someone and they thank you by stabbing you in the back. (2)when someone betrays you and cut them down to size.

Medusean task: when you’re trying so hard to be left alone and people just don’t seem to get the message.

Ismenean task: when you do too little to late and desperately try to salvage the situation (and failing miserably)

the fact that we only have “herculean task” and “sisyphean task” feels so limiting. so here’s a few more tasks for your repertoire

icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down

cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW won’t listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)
