Fixing Apriltello: Fungus Humungous

So…. Lmao.

This idea has been in my head since I first read @fabuloustrash05 ‘s fabulous headcanons to start this whole Fixing Apriltello series.

I think that this is one of the more difficult episodes to watch for me nowadays, because in my opinion there was a real opportunity here to expand on Donnie’s innermost demons, and they addressed it only as April’s opinion of him.

I think Donnie is haunted by the times where his intellect couldn’t carry him quite far enough to be there for his family and friends. So I drew this.

Also, in this little series, I think Fungus Humungous would take place after Karai was mutated, and before Kirby was returned to normal.

So… yeah. Gives you jazz hands and then nosedives into the bushes.

Random little detail I liked in TMNT 2012 is how anytime there was a flashback sequence it was in the style of like an illustrated comic book of some kind.
