After making my own UI override, I've been itching to look back in time and try to recreate The Sims 2 UI in TS4, and here it is!
I tried to capture the look & feel as best as possible, so I hope you can enjoy this mod and reminisce a bit c:

Before installing/updating, remove any old versions of Sims 2 UI whenever there's a new mod update and clear your caches.
Download & extract the zip file within your Mods folder.
Install the latest UI Cheats Extension mod and make sure it loads after the Sims 2 UI mod. Current version needed: v1.45
// Extras
Main Menu Override - now separated from the main mod.

I keep seeing complaints about how the Hexgate/Anomaly polluting the undercity, specifically poisoning the Firelight tree, subplot and Ekko and Jayce’s conflict over it, never got any payoff or resolution.
But…uh…yes it absolutely did: Ekko got to blow up the two guys who built the Hexgate, using a miniature replica of the anomaly to do it.
The guy who saw firsthand how much better things would have been (specifically for the undercity) without Hextech got to literally throw their magical bullshit back in their faces. And the fact that the device he used to do it had a design reference to Powder’s monkey bomb is just *chef’s kiss*
Honestly, for me, that was actually the most satisfying “Zaun takes vengeance on Piltover” moment in the entire show.

Why is the GA obsessed with “having unrequited crushes is realistic.”
It’s a fictional show with fictional characters. This is a story, not a documentary… characters can be realistic for relatability, sure. But the weight they’ve put on Will’s “unrequited crush” story isn’t just “realism.” If they wanted to do that, they would’ve shut this down in the story a while ago. This isn’t how unrequited love stories are written. They easily could’ve had Will confess and have Mike gently reject him and then gave Will a new love interest we could root for.
Writing wise, having him be rejected would do damage to both Mike and Will. Will suffered this much already and Mike would be an asshole for genuinely no reason then.

Idk, I just wanted to see them happy :')
Hi Valentina, I love your work and really looking to learn how to make sims 4 maxis match furni. Do you have any tips or tutorials? I create in second life so I'm very familiar with blender, mostly looking for help with the spec maps and texturing as i feel my stuff always comes out so shiny. Thank you in advance <3!!
Hey! Thank you! I don't think I'm an expert but I can give some tips I usually do to achieve a MM look (although I think my objects are not exactly MM in style).
I think it starts with the modeling. MM items don't have too small details and too thin parts. I like to think about this as if I would have to craft miniature models in real life. No matter how hard I would try, there are some things that are too small to knit/sculpt/draw etc. You can always tell these are miniatures. So I try to start with this in mind and skew the real life ratios of an item to give them a slight cartoony look.
For texturing I can suggest that use simple, stylized textures, not too dark shadows. Try handpainting simple details on you textures. For the specular map, I usually search for something similar in material from the in-game items and export their spec map to see what colors I should use. My best trick yet is to use Gradient Map in Photoshop to match the colors to the in-game one's. I always reduce the alpha layer so it isn't too overpowering. But you have to test a lot to see if it looks good or not.
I hope I could help you! Best of luck with your MM journey!
