Somewhere out there on a planet very far away is a civilization that has included our sun in a beloved constellation of some animal we couldn't dream up if we tried

the past couple months i've really been faced with the question of "why do you study astrophysics" and. uh
i don't know if I'm passionate about what i do because i know a lot about it, or if i know a lot about what i do because I'm passionate about it
because i definitely did not give two shits about space until maybe the last year of high school. but to be fair i did not give two shits about anything
I tried to recreate this feeling I had while lying in the sun yesterday.

literally though if you feel like your life is slipping through your fingers and every day goes too fast… try doing hard things, not just taking the easy route, like reading and making art and exercising and cooking a meal from scratch and journaling, doing these things without distraction, without being absorbed on a screen… the time will stretch and you’ll be reminded that life is long and beautiful if you make it so.
I am unfortunately just like other guys. I like trashy horror, dog poems, cannibalism as a metaphor for obsessive devotion, religious imagery, people who use my name in a sentence, academic validation, lying for fun, being bisexual and bleeding out in the snow.
my friend and i were going to study a language together and wound up having to cancel our plans due to scheduling pressures, but! through research we came across a really cool resource for reading in a TON of languages: bloom library!
as you can see, it has a lot of books for languages that are usually a bit harder to find materials for—we were going to use it for kyrgyz, for example, which has over 1000 books, which was really hard to find textbook materials for otherwise. as you can see it also has books with audio options, which would be really useful for pronunciation checking. as far as i can tell, everything on the site is free as well.
kinda gay to be scientists in a lab. what do you mean you're "experimenting" with your "partner"?
they should invent a new constellation and call it the big sniffer
