I told a little fib… I was about to go to bed, but I started doing an Ed, Edd n’ Eddy doodle and it actually came out nice ^_^ I loved the show but whenever I try doodling the characters I could never capture the energy or spirit of the show…. but this lil doodle actually turned out nice…at least I think so… ^_^ so I wanted to share it.  Okay, now I really am off to bed <3 Love you all!

Hell Fire

I’m home!  ^_^  … and I’m terribly sick :( Been a bit out of commission for the past three days now… but I thought some doodling would perk me up…so I drew a lil Frollo <3 I am recovering now, so that’s a plus ^_^. Hope you’re all happy and healthy <3 All my Love,

My night took a little emotional turn… don’t really know where it came from but, I was finding it hard to draw, and whenever that happens I find that little self-portraits can help break through the quagmire. 

I finally got a little sketch out of me and my butterfly brooch. It made me feel a bit better to actually get something drawn, even if I was feeling down when I drew it. 

Now it really is time for me to turn in for the night, but I want to thank you all for all the happiness you bring me <3 You’re all so caring and kind that I really never stay in a sad mood for long. To those of you who send me hugs or well wishes, just know that they never go to waste, or fall on an ungrateful heart.  They make my day and they really made me feel better tonight <3  You’re all the best, and I love you all,

This is Me challenge I was challenged by xoronis to do a little ‘this is me’ challenge, where I draw or collage 20 of my favorite things.  I thought it was a nice little idea so, I decided to sketch my response ^_^  1: Myself : … I don’t want to seem egotistical, I-I’m really not trying to be… but, I think there was a time in my life where I would never have put myself on a list of things I like… and I think its important to appreciate yourself, and who you are, and to be proud of that. Humble, but proud ^^  2: A Transgender Flag :  This…mainly because I am.. Its not a fact I often advertise…its not a fact that often comes up in conversation.. and, whenever I finally bring myself to tell people, I always have a little panic attack… But it is certainly a part of who I am, so, I really wanted to share that with all of you now that I have an opportunity to do so.. I hope thats okay, really <3 3: The Purple Canvas: Purple is my favorite color, I like warmer purples but, the color always makes me smile, and I enjoy it as a backdrop to this piece ^_^ 

4: Butterflies : Butterflies are my most favorite thing in the whole world. I love them so much. They’re so gentle and bright and colorful, and they always brighten my day to see one. I always wear a butterfly brooch whenever I leave my home. I just love to have one close to my heart whenever I can. 

5: Birds: Here in this picture represented by a singular bird, but I love birds, I love hearing their songs in the morning and watching them hop and fly around. I  tend to say hello to every bird I pass on the street… My friends can tell you I’ll probably stop talking mid-sentence to say hello to a passerby bird ^^ 6: Bats: Another of my favorite animal ^_^ I remember when I used to live in Savannah, we had a whole family of bats that would live in the trees outside our home, and I loved watching them fly around. They’re adorable creatures. 

7: Wings: One thing Butterflies, Bats, Birds, and little Fluttershy have in common is their wings… I love wings, and flying, wings are probably my favorite thing to draw, and my most favorite thing to animate by far <3 8: Sunshine: I love the warmth of a sunny day. Days in the high 80s are my absolute favorite 9: Nature: Here represented by some Ivy vines, and some roses, but I love nature. I love the smell of flowers, and greenery, and just about every critter and insect around.. The days that I can spend out in nature are my most favorite ^_^ 

10: Videogames: Represented by a pokeball, one of my less earthy loves is pokemon and other nintendo games, they’re a lot of fun on those rainy days, and a little competition is always fun ^^

11: Mr. Rogers: Represented by my sweater in the drawing.. any of my followers probably already know that I love Mr. Rogers. I love how kind he was. how genuine he was about being honest and open with others. He’s really a true inspiration to me, and I love just how much he loved everyone around him. 

12: Paper: Represented by the backdrop of the piece. Paper is where I started with my love of creating art.. back when I was little and I just had a sheet of paper and some crayons, I would always be drawing, always doodling, on every test I ever got in school, in the margin of every notebook. I truly don’t think there is a sheet of paper in my home that doesn’t have a drawing on it, its such an open and freeing experience to draw, and I love so so much.

13: Animation: Represented by the Peg  holes in the bottom of the drawing. Those are hole punches that we used to put in our animation paper (back when we worked on paper anyway) to hold the paper steady on the animation table ^_^ Animation is such a delight. I love bringing a sheet of paper, or a blank digital canvas to life through animation. I am so fortunate to have the job that I  have. And to any aspiring animators out there, I know the work is really really hard to get right, and it may seem difficult, but if its really what you want to do, please stick with it ^_^ Its so much fun and so rewarding and there is really no other job like it <3 Its difficult, but you’ll love it, I promise. 

14: Music: represented by the sheet music bar. Which actually has the Firebird Suite Finale notes written on it ^_^ I love music so much, particularly when combined with animation, Aside from the Firebird Suite (Which is a breathtaking sequence in Fantasia 2000), some of my favorite songs to listen to are Float On by Modest Mouse, Forever Young as performed by Pete Seeger, and Rainbow Connection from The Muppets ^_^ 15: Disney: Represented by the Mickey Hat. I’m a disney fangirl through and through ^_^ I take all my vacations in Disney World…their movies are what inspired me to make art.. and I probably wouldn’t be here drawing if it wasn’t for their spark… 

16: Spiders: I know they aren’t on many peoples lists but… I love them. I think they’re adorable and clever creatures. I’m often the one in my studio running to save them from being crushed and bringing them back outside to safety. They get a bad reputation, but they’re really not so bad once you get to know them ^^

17: Crying. Represented by the tear drops on the right side… I love to cry… I know it upsets some folks here to find out that I’m spending a night crying.. but it really helps when things start to feel heavy. Its a cleansing experience… and although it does mean that I’m hurting…it also means that Im healing, and I think thats really very nice. Music also helps a lot … nothing makes me cry more than a sad song.. my favorite of which being ‘Don’t Let Us Get Sick’ as performed by Jill Sobule ^_^ 

18: Art. A bit of an umbrella concept… but I love creating art…and I love sharing it… I love being able to connect with all of y’all by sharing my art, and I love seeing everyone elses, and enjoying what other artists create and share. Which is why I drew this piece to share with all of you… and I apologize that his post is so long.. ^///^ 19: Fluttershy. Fluttershy is a character that means the world to me. I … can’t even begin to describe the impact she’s had on my life, but she has. My Little Pony is really the only fandom I’ve ever been a part of… and its been really beautiful. I probably never would have discovered MLP or gotten into it, or met any of y’all if it wasn’t for how much I connected with the character of Fluttershy.  20: You. … I couldn’t really draw this into the piece but… the thing I love most, and the one I saved for last, is you. I say it at the end of everything I post, and I mean it with all my heart. I love you, each and every one of you from the  bottom of my heart. You’re all so very special to me and I really couldn’t imagine a world without you all in it. I hope you all understand just how truly wonderful you are.  The end <3 I hope you all enjoyed learning a little bit about me… I know I don’t talk about myself much…I’m .. not the most talkative, but I really did want to take this opportunity to open up to you all a bit more, because I really do love you <3  Now as per the rules of this challenge, I need to invite 5 more folks to do the same… so I choose cwiiis ask-frigiddrift xxdoodle-pupxx shiningarmorrps and alpha-alfalfa . Bloomin’ Onion Blues

Darn my vegetarian ways… I found out today while doing some research, that Bloomin’ Onions are fried in beef fat. So now I must lament the loss of these calorie dense treats from my diet… even if they were rare to begin with xD 

Also a helpful warning to all those out there that are Vegetarians …do be careful for those sneaky animal fat oils ^_^

Gosh…its been quite the week…things really started cooking at work, and I’ve been doing fall cleaning…errands, shopping…overtime…and I’m gonna try and wake up at 6 am to head into work to get some more animation done on my shots…. and I haven’t really been sleeping all too well recently…so I’m a bit exhausted 

Debated going to sleep before I even got any personal drawing work done, but I always feel awful when I do that, so…I decided to do a little animation to work out some of my emotions before bed ^^ 

Hope you’re all having a lovely day, I’m gonna try and get some more livestreams up on Youtube soon, and hopefully some animations here as well, but uploads may be slow over the next couple weeks or so while I pull Overtime at work.

Rick and Morty Commission

I was asked to make a Commission of Rick and Morty with their boyfriend included in some way for a Valentine’s Day present. So I felt it would be fitting to have the guys fending off some sort of creature ^_^

I’ve seen a few episodes of Rick and Morty, but this is my first time drawing any of the characters ^^

Definitely a fun show, what I’ve seen of it at least ^_^ and I definitely had fun designing a llittle alien type aquatic creature ^^

I hope you’re all ready to enjoy a lovely Valentine’s day with your Special Someones. And if you are flying solo this year, then I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s day to enjoy some personal time and enjoy doing the things you love doing ^_^

Adobe Animate- Mrs. Brisby

I’ve been asked about my thoughts on Adobe Animate (Adobe’s replacement for Flash)

And although I don’t consider myself anything of an expert on software, I did finally update my version today, and spent a little time learning some of the changes, and I thought I would share what I thought in case anyone out there is nervous about the unknown ^_^

Firstly, its essentially the same as Flash. The same dependable machine I’ve always trusted.  Its just like it used to be, with a couple of tiny tweaks.

1. Onion Skin is now Blue and Green instead of a fade of the colors you’re using. So it makes it easier to differentiate the frames ^_^ a lot like Toon Boom which uses green and pink.

2. (and this is like the best thing ever) There is an ability with the brush tool that is called ‘zoom size with stage’. If you keep that checked, you are able to zoom in close without your brush turning into a super fine line, or becoming very blobby when you zoom out ^_^

That got rid of a massive headache of mine that always made it difficult to faithfully track fine detail <3 (or having to keep track of the zoom percentage to avoid a varying line)

And thats … kind of it ^^; at least that I found so far. But I was able to doodle a little Don Bluthy Mrs, Brisby, and it behaves just like it always did, except I was able to get in close and track some tufts ^^

Nothing to be worried about with the update if you’re cautious about installing the update…its really all in a name, and it still smells as sweet ^_^

Hello all ^_^ I’m happy to say commissions are open and I have the pricing above  and below ^_^

A magenta sketch is 10 dollars for a single character with 5 dollars added for each additional character

A full Color Sketch is 20 dollars plus an additional 10 for each additional character

A full colored lineless drawing is 50 dollars, but the price drops to 40 if you want more than one character (Plus an additional 15 for any added characters <3 So its kinda like getting a two character piece for a small discount ^_^

Animation’s pricing is based on length and I’m sorry that its so expensive, but Animation does take quite a bit of time and energy <3  They are split into two groups however 2 seconds or less and 3 seconds or more

A secondary character will change the price on a case by case basis, as will some more complex or more simple animation requests <3

Payments are only accepted as Amazon E-Gift Cards (which is rather simple, its just like buying anything else on Amazon except its sent as currency to my Amazon account instead ^_^) 

Only payments from the U.S. are accepted at the moment, but my sincerest apologies for that to anyone outside of the states :(

Holy Rabies!

I’ve been a little headachey this evening, but I recently purchased Hotel Transylvania 2 on DVD and I’ve been eager to doodle some of the characters, so I figured I would push through and see what I could make while I waited for the medicine to take effect ^_^

Genndy Tartakovsky’s design aesthetic has always delighted me, and the Hotel Transylvania designs are my favorite of his work ^_^ I always have a hard time picking out my favorite characters from the movies, but Mavis and Winnie are top contenders ^_^ Who all do you like from Hotel Transylvania/Hotel Transylvania 2? Any favorites?

I tend to love poison types a bit too much…which really puts me at a disadvantage to Psychic Types @~@

Nick Wilde Pencil Test WIP

I haven’t been feeling terribly well lately. Spent the past three days with a stomach bug, hardly eating, and I’ve been feeling very achy and week. But I do try never to waste time… so I’ve been practicing some expression animation…and since I found a Photoshop pencil brush that I like…I decided I’d do a little clean up in Photoshop to give the animation that old fashioned, traditional look ^^

The pink line you see is my rough Flash line art, and the grey on top is my more on-model Photoshop clean up.

The gif used to loop seamlessly, and I wanted to finish this little segment completely tonight but… I’m starting to get headachey and tired so…I decided to truncate it and stop for the night <3

But anyone who knows me, knows that I hate to sleep without posting my work… so I decided I’d share the little work in progress with y’all.  ^__^

I promise I’ll finish Nick soon, but for now I must rest <3

Jubilee in Peril Commission

An animation commission that may explain my extended slow down in posting around here, and why I rarely take animation commissions. Fun as it is to bring something to life, its often very time consuming. In fact I employed the aid of Toonboom to try and ease some of the workload, which it did! ^_^ though at the expense of the hand drawn quality I love so much ^^;

In any case I was commissioned to have Jubilee of the X-men being bound with a kerchief over her mouth by gloved hands ^_^

A fun project all things considered, though I think I’ll shy away from many other animation commissions in the future. I much rather save those large scale projects for my own ideas and passions ^_^ at least for now.

Arlo Expressions
