Reading Amazing Fanfiction, Then Forgetting To Bookmark It

Adobe Animate- Mrs. Brisby

I’ve been asked about my thoughts on Adobe Animate (Adobe’s replacement for Flash)

And although I don’t consider myself anything of an expert on software, I did finally update my version today, and spent a little time learning some of the changes, and I thought I would share what I thought in case anyone out there is nervous about the unknown ^_^

Firstly, its essentially the same as Flash. The same dependable machine I’ve always trusted.  Its just like it used to be, with a couple of tiny tweaks.

1. Onion Skin is now Blue and Green instead of a fade of the colors you’re using. So it makes it easier to differentiate the frames ^_^ a lot like Toon Boom which uses green and pink.

2. (and this is like the best thing ever) There is an ability with the brush tool that is called ‘zoom size with stage’. If you keep that checked, you are able to zoom in close without your brush turning into a super fine line, or becoming very blobby when you zoom out ^_^

That got rid of a massive headache of mine that always made it difficult to faithfully track fine detail <3 (or having to keep track of the zoom percentage to avoid a varying line)

And thats … kind of it ^^; at least that I found so far. But I was able to doodle a little Don Bluthy Mrs, Brisby, and it behaves just like it always did, except I was able to get in close and track some tufts ^^

Nothing to be worried about with the update if you’re cautious about installing the update…its really all in a name, and it still smells as sweet ^_^

I have been waiting all year to post this.

some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.

Gosh…its been quite the week…things really started cooking at work, and I’ve been doing fall cleaning…errands, shopping…overtime…and I’m gonna try and wake up at 6 am to head into work to get some more animation done on my shots…. and I haven’t really been sleeping all too well recently…so I’m a bit exhausted 

Debated going to sleep before I even got any personal drawing work done, but I always feel awful when I do that, so…I decided to do a little animation to work out some of my emotions before bed ^^ 

Hope you’re all having a lovely day, I’m gonna try and get some more livestreams up on Youtube soon, and hopefully some animations here as well, but uploads may be slow over the next couple weeks or so while I pull Overtime at work.

I told a little fib… I was about to go to bed, but I started doing an Ed, Edd n’ Eddy doodle and it actually came out nice ^_^ I loved the show but whenever I try doodling the characters I could never capture the energy or spirit of the show…. but this lil doodle actually turned out nice…at least I think so… ^_^ so I wanted to share it.  Okay, now I really am off to bed <3 Love you all!
