I’m so dreadfully sorry that posts here have been slow. I have been working through a slew of commissions and emails and just haven’t had the time to do my normal doodles and sketches <3 But I hope to be back into the swing of things soon ^_^

In the meantime I wanted to answer the oodles of questions I’ve gotten about how I made my section for the Firework collaboration.

I used Flash CC to make all the animation. And Adobe After Effects for the…well..after effects (color changes and the like. All the fireworks were made default red and changed in post to fit the moods) ^_^

Jon himself was sketched up in roughs first to get the basic shapes and timing down. Once I was happy with the action, I cleaned up the roughs quite a bit to make sure my details would track.

Once the cleanup was done I went in frame by frame and did clean up, utilizing puppet symbols where it would be helpful (Mainly in Jon’s head to keep his mouth, nose and eyes aligned every time)

Once Jon’ was inked and painted I brought his swf files into After Effects, layered on Paper Textures to give it a touch of flavor, and worked in time with the music to change the colors of the fireworks and the background and even Jon himself to change the color scheme with the beat ^_^

And there we have… a baby dinosaur. … i mean…JonTron cartoon ^///^

Hope this helps to illuminate some of my steps in animation ^_^

and I hope you’re all doing wonderfully. I can’t wait to get back into my normal routine really soon! I’ve been talking with other Youtubers and I might even have some cartoons on the rise, in addition to more Dr. Pegasus stuff. Just juggling it all at the moment to make sure it all gets done, and right ^__^

Grimer! ^_^ I was a little bored so I doodled a pokemon. If anyone has a pokemon they’d like me to sketch, feel free to shout out suggestions ^^

Catch of the Day (Reprise) - naekusaba

Mukuro hadn’t intended to go fishing that day.

The whole Class of 78th was on a mini-field trip courtesy of Togami and his yacht. He actually offered a cruise liner at first but at the insistence of the more practical majority, they had settled for something smaller and more doable. So here they were in the middle of the ocean on the world’s most expensive yacht. And while they were at it, some of them decided to try fishing.

Naturally, Makoto had tried to do so as well. Mukuro had settled for just keeping him company as they waited for a fish to bite. This truly tested their patience since his luck had it out for him. While their classmates were reeling in catches, his remain untouched. After an hour, everyone who had a pole also had caught a fish except him. And then another hour but still no luck.

On the third hour, he should’ve known better than to trust his luck. His first bite and as he got pulled overboard, he thought it might as well be his last. And of course, this had to happen on the one time that Mukuro let him out of her sight. A panicked scream ripped through his throat and when she looked over, he was already falling over with the fishing rod still clenched in fear in his hand.

Naturally, Mukuro just had to jump in and rescue him. In the waters, she saw Makoto and his fish still caught in his line. And to her surprise, he had nabbed the largest fish on his hook. There was this split second in which she debated on what to do with it. Had this been any other circumstance, she would have let the fish get away. But this was technically Makoto’s fish and she thought that he might be disappointed to have it get away. She reached for her reliable combat knife and dove in.

It didn’t take long before Mukuro surfaced with a dead shark under one arm and an unconscious Makoto in the other.

“Looks like Big Sis Muku got the catch of the day!” Junko declared with a proud grin.

“Yeah… Makoto.” Mukuro replied as she then tossed the shark off one side and gently laid down Makoto. She checked his pulse and noted that he was still breathing. Good.

All the while, the rest of the class stared with a mix of shock and amusement. And then there’s Togami. He sighed, pushed his glasses up and then he commented, “I’ll inform the chef of the change of menu. Since we have fresh shark, we might as well enjoy the delicacy.”

Mukuro hadn’t intended to go fishing that day but Makoto was worth the catch.

Spirit At Rest

Phantasma got a lot more sleep than I did while working on this ^__^ Wanted to add a little animation into my previous BG practice piece, and with the passing of Russi Taylor, who voiced Phantasma, I thought it would be a nice little tribute to her. Winnie’s Awooo 

I decided I wanted to get some practice using Photoshop’s animation tools, and thought I’d give my little Winnie pose some more life in the process ^__^

I actually really enjoyed the photoshop tools, I had lots more control on my line cleanup than I do with vector programs I use normally ^^ hopefully I’ll get a little bit better with navigating the program next time, but for now I wanted to share my little Winnie howl animation with you all ^_^

Yang trying to hypnotize, Jaune.

Yang: A-And, you should kiss me on the lips, when…?!

Jaune kisses, Yang on the lips.

Yang: W-W-Why did you do that?!!

Jaune: You told me to.

Yang: I s-s-said kiss me on the lips, but I…?!

Jaune kisses, Yang again.

Yang: Hold on?! I didn’t say you could kiss me again?!

Jaune: ‘Kiss you again?’ Okay!

Jaune, kisses, Yang again.

Yang: The hell?! Did this hypnosis book really work?!

Jaune: Not in the slightest.

Yang: I-It doesn’t? Wait, you know I was trying to hypnotize you?!

Jaune: Yep.

Yang: W-Why didn’t you try, and stop me?!

Jaune: Cause it was cute watching you try to tell me to kiss you.

Yang: But, I never told you to kiss me?!

Jaune: Okay.

Jaune, kisses, Yang again.

Yang: S-Stop doing that?!

Jaune: Make me.

Yang: Grrrr! Fine!

Yang kisses, Jaune instead.

Yang: Ha! There, I kissed you first this time!

Jaune: But, will you kiss me last? Because…

Yang: Mph?!

Jaune pushes, Yang down as he kisses her again.

Jaune: I can assure you, you won’t want it to be the last time.

Yang: Then please… kiss me again…

Jaune: My pleasure.

I dunno why I drew Stitch sad, but I’m sure its nothing too serious ^_^ Hugs shall cheer him up. and Desserts!
