"I begged them to give me a person who could see me for who I am, not what I could do." His hands gently twisted a lock of hair. A soft purr left the back of his throat. "Then you showed up. And I was enthralled. I began to beg for this to be real. And not some twisted joke from the fates." His striking green eyes examined the sleeping features of his partner with a smile. "And yet, here we are. With you close to my chest." His hand pulled on the blanket that laid at their waists. With a swift pull. He got it up to their shoulders before resting his arm back over their side, reestablishing the loving hold. "Maybe good things really do happen when you wish in stars. Sleep well, My Queen." With one final kiss to his partners forehead, he settled in to sleep. Allowing himself to relax to the idea of many more warm nights
