Literally everyone else: Axl’s huge ego broke up Guns n’ Roses! He’s such a selfish dick!!!
Escaping.
Something that felt all too familiar to Axl. Whenever the world pressed too hard, when voices rose or feelings tangled like storm clouds in his chest, Axl escaped.
He always found somewhere, somewhere desolate and cold. Where his own thoughts could be drowned out, where he didn’t need to feel. It wasn’t fear, exactly; it was the only language he trusted when emotions swelled beyond what words could convey.
However, You didn’t have as much faith in this language as he did. There had been countless nights where you’d woken up to nothing but a dent in the mattress beside you late at dusk, with not a clue on where he was, simply having to find the trust deep in your heart that he knew how to handle himself and he’d be back okay. Axl’s life was loud and crowded, two things he struggled to handle, which reflected onto his brain, making him lose himself far too easily. And you knew that. You knew him through and through, so all you were ever left to do was wait.
Tonight was one of those nights. It was the middle of November, 2:03 am. However, instead of laying on your back in an empty bed, staring up at the ceiling with your mind rushing god knows how many scenarios and possibilities on where he could be, you were looking right at him.
Axl sat on the edge of the old apartment roof, knees tucked to his chest, the city sprawled out below in a web of flickering lights and distant sirens. The cold bit through the leather of his jacket, the one he always wore, but he barely noticed—his thoughts were louder than the wind. Up there, above the mess of streets and noise, things felt still, like time had paused just long enough for him to breathe. He stared out over the skyline, wondering how everything could feel so vast and yet so close to crumbling. The smoke from the cigarette between his two fingers clouded around him, his gaze stuck on the world below him.
You stood there for a moment, simply observing with your arms crossed over your chest. Almost as if you were trying to detect every last thought rushing through him, you knew when he wasn’t himself. You knew your Axl. You silently made your way over, not uttering a word. No words—just the soft thud of footsteps as you settled beside him, close but not pressing. It was only once you’d perched down that your presence registered in Axl’s crowded mind. Once he saw you out the corner of his eye it was almost as though he’d been snapped out of a deep trance. He didn't look at her, though. He just kept staring ahead. His eyes tracing the faint city lights as if they were somewhere far away.
You sat there for a while, the chill creeping into your bones as you mirrored his silence, feeling the weight of the night settle over both of you. The cigarette in his hand was almost burnt out now, the ember barely flickering, and you couldn't help but wonder if he was waiting for it to disappear, just like everything else he couldn’t hold onto. You knew better than to ask right away—sometimes he needed to feel like the words had time to find their way out of him.
“Found me, huh?”
Axl finally broke the silence, his voice sounding distant, almost numb, as if it lacked everything she’d gotten used to.
Neither of you looked at each other, both gazes occupied by the sight of the dimmed street lamps and barren roads.
“What are you hiding from, Ax’?”
You responded, your question blunt yet genuine. Your curiosity was clear, although you mirrored his emotionless exterior. You didn’t want it to come across as antagonising or accusatory, you just worried.
“Who says I’m hiding?”
Axl countered after a moment of silence, the question hitting a little too close to the core for his liking as he finally flicked his burnt-out cigarette butt over the edge of the roof, observing as it landed on the pavement below.
“You always go up high when you need to escape.”
You stated with certainty, the pattern was becoming all too familiar for you. Your tone remained calm, despite wanting to peer into his brain and unleash everything that could possibly be burdening him.
Axl sighed quietly to himself and leaned back on his palms, letting the wind bite harder at his cheeks. His eyes followed the path the cigarette would’ve taken if he could still see it—just another thing fading into the shadows below.
“You ever think maybe I don’t want to be found?” he said, voice barely above the breeze. “Maybe I come up here hoping no one will.”
You didn’t flinch. You didn’t push. You just breathed, slow and steady.
“Then why don’t you go somewhere I can’t find you?”
That made him glance your way—only for a second, but it was something. The corner of his mouth twitched like he wanted to argue, but he didn’t. Instead, he looked down at his hands like they were foreign. Like they’d done something he couldn’t remember.
“’Cause I think part of me still wants to be,” he muttered. “Found, I mean.”
The weight of those words lingered in the air like fog from his breath. You felt it wrap around the space between you. It didn’t sting, didn’t cut. It just... existed. Heavy and honest.
“You don’t have to say what’s going on,” you said softly, turning your body slightly toward him. “But you do have to stop pretending you’re the only one who can feel the ground shifting.”
Axl laughed—dry, short, more like a release of air than anything else. He ran a hand through his straight hair, fingers shaking slightly, though he tried to hide it.
"Do you think I'm a bad person?"
Axl questioned, coming out more like a confession than anything. As if it stung as the words fell from his lips.
Your heart clenched at the question—not because you didn’t know the answer, but because you knew exactly why he was asking. Because you’d seen him carry that guilt in the curve of his shoulders, in the way his eyes never quite rested. Like he was constantly preparing for a verdict he believed he’d already earned.
"Should I?"
You questioned, not because you were genuinely debating it, but purely because you wanted to see him through his view, even for just a moment. Just to see through him.
"Maybe."
He shrugged, chewing the inside of his left cheek.
"No. I don't."
You responded almost immediately without a hint of hesitation. You'd seen the social pressure the media had forced him to deal with, no matter how unaffected and unbothered he came across. He was Axl Rose, after all.
“I think you’re a person who feels too much, yet still tries to act like they're above emotion."
You responded with certainty.
Axl looked down again, jaw tightening, lips twitching like he wanted to say something, but didn’t trust himself to. The quiet between you wasn’t sharp—it was soft now, like the world had shrunk to just this rooftop, just this moment.
You sighed at his silent response. your expression softening. The kind of softness that comes when you're too tired to fight, but still too full of care to leave things unsaid.
You leaned forward slightly, elbows resting on your knees as your eyes followed the same horizon he was locked into.
“I’m heading back down,” you said quietly, the words gentle and without pressure. “
Axl didn’t answer right away. He didn’t have to. The way his body stilled told you he heard every word.
You stood slowly, brushing off the dust from the back of your sleep shorts, pausing only when you reached the edge of the roof’s old gravel. Your hand hovered by your side like it wanted to reach out again, but you didn’t.
"Promise me you'll come back to bed soon. I worry about you."
Axl’s shoulders tensed at your words—just slightly—but you caught it. You always did. He didn’t look at you, but his jaw shifted, like he was working through a response, even if he wasn’t ready to say it yet.
The wind pressed a little harder now, curling between the buildings and whipping past the rooftop with a low, hollow whistle. You pulled your jacket tighter around yourself, eyes lingering on him.
“I will,” he finally said, voice almost swallowed by the wind. “Just... not yet.”
You let out a soft breath at his words, almost in relief, the cold winter months causing a cloud of smoke to float from your lips as you did so.
With that, you turned to go, your steps slow as you crossed the roof and pushed open the rusted metal door. It creaked, as always, but you didn’t glance back—because you knew he would.
And he did.
Once you were gone, the door easing shut behind you, Axl finally looked over his shoulder. The space where you’d been sitting still held the heat of your presence, like a shadow that hadn’t faded yet. It never did. And he never wanted it to.
He sat in it a moment longer. The wind had teeth now, and the sky above was bruising at the edges—stars swallowed by thick clouds. He pulled his jacket tighter, the collar brushing his cheek, and reached into his pocket for another cigarette.
But he didn’t light it.
Instead, he stared at the unlit stick in his fingers, thinking about your voice. Your softness. The way you never asked him to be anything other than what he was, even when what he was didn’t make sense.
He stood, finally, the gravel crunching beneath his boots as he walked toward the door. He hesitated once—looking back over the city again. It was still flickering, still broken, still alive.
Just like him.
And then he disappeared down the stairwell, the door shutting behind him with a metallic clink.
You felt the shift before you heard anything. The apartment was still dark, but warmer now—like something had returned. A shadow in the hallway, a breath not your own. And when you turned over, there he was, standing in the doorway to your room, hands in his pockets, head slightly bowed.
You didn’t say anything. You just lifted the blanket.
And Axl—quiet, guarded, worn down to the bone—crossed the room and slipped in beside you.
Neither of you spoke. You didn’t need to. The only sound being the rustle of bedsheets as his arm wrapped loosely around your waist, his chin resting on the top of your head.
His breath slowed beside yours, and for the first time that night, he let the weight go. Just a little. Just enough.
Enough to finally rest.

"Easy..."
Steven cooed, his hands gently tracing along the curve of your waist. They were rough and calloused from years of heavy drumming, yet it was a familiar feeling, only adding to your arousal.
As you lay there beneath him, bare and exposed to only his eyes, you never thought you'd be seen this vulnerable. Especially by someone double your age. The feeling was foreign, as much as you tried to disguise it. You couldn't stop the way your body reacted to every small touch of his fingertips, the way you slightly trembled whenever his eyes lingered on your features. Steven was well experienced, you knew that. Which only leads you to weakly attempt to cover the way your body tensed and your breath hitched with any contact, your eyes closely following his every move.
"Easy, baby...you okay?"
There it was again. That smooth, gentle tone of voice he always used towards you. It wasn't difficult to see his genuine care, his blue orbs staring into your own, scanning for any hint of unease or discomfort. He held you as if you were porcelain, something so precious and perfect he couldn't bear to break. It made your mind go cloudy, unable to form a thought until the loss of his touch snapped you back into reality.
"Look, love, we don't have to do this."
Steven spoke gently as his hand reluctantly left your bare skin, to which you immediately protested with a small, weak whine that would be barely noticeable to most. Yet, of course, he noticed.
"No, no..please."
Your response earnt a quiet chuckle from the blonde-haired drummer.
"Okay, alright, heard."
He responded with a small chuckle, an amused and loving smile on his face as he shifted further down until his forehead rested against yours. His hand slowly traced up and down your side, caressing your hip and thigh, his fingertips drawing idle shapes along your skin, he could never keep his hands still. The way he admired your every feature was almost worshipping, as if you were the only thing that mattered, as if it were only the two of you left in this world.
"Just say the word, and I'll stop. You know that"
His voice was almost a whisper, words meant for you and you only. He was more than willing to hold back his own desire for your sake, although he was itching to act on his building impure thoughts.
With a confirming hum from you, Steven didn't waste a second as his lips met yours in a tender and passionate kiss, His lips moved in sync with yours, wanting nothing but to melt with you, to show you all the devotion he had for you. Only you.
His hand traveled further down your smaller frame, until reaching the spot you needed him most. With anyone else, you would've been embarrassed by how soaked you were already, but you knew Steven only took pride in the effect he had on your body, the body he worshipped so dearly. His fingertips moved to trace slow, careful circles on your needy bud, reluctantly pulling away from your lips to watch his angel's every expression.
A soft, shaky breath escaped your throat as sweet sensations ran through your body, a gentle whimper flowing into Steven's ears. To him, it was a sound more beautiful than any melody, he wished he could replay it in his mind forever.
"You like that, huh sweetheart?"
He whispered, slowly picking up his finger's pace as he moved to place tender kisses along your cheek, down to your jaw and neck, anywhere he could possibly reach. He psychically couldn't keep his lips off of you for too long.
"Mhm.."
Was all you could muster up in response, you're hips involuntarily grinding up into his touch, relaxing into his soothing embrace. Your hand came up to tangle into his long, curly locks as you felt him gently nip and suck at the sensitive skin of your collar, leaving evidence of his love in his path.
It wasn't long before that sweet feeling of ecstasy flowed through your veins, unable to keep that knot in your stomach from coming undone, your thighs clenching around his larger, rougher hands as he watched your every expression. The way your eyes became half-lidded, the way your lips parted as gasped moans flowed through the voice he adored to hear. He cherished it all.
"That's my girl."
He hummed as he placed a peck on your already swollen lips from his own lack of self-control. He couldn't help it, he couldn't stand his mouth being away from yours.
"You know how beautiful you look like that? Like this."
He whispered against your lips, almost teasingly, a proud grin on his face. He couldn't resist being a little more playful, it was in his nature, something he never lost with age. And he couldn't resist seeing that angelic smile of yours.
You responded with a small chuckle, a little flustered from how responsive you were, how much of a deep effect he had on you.
"Shut up."
You responded light-heartedly, playfully shoving his face away, already used to his ways.
He reacted with a faux-pout, reluctantly pulling away from those eyes he adored, shifting so he was positioned between your legs. His body was practically aching with need, you didn't know the things you did to him. The way you looked up at him with those pleading eyes, the way your chest heaved with even the slightest touch, he wanted to drown in it all.
"You wound me, my love. Truly wounded."
He spoke with that familiar grin as he aligned himself with you, his length leaking with pre-cum just from hearing you, just from having his lips all over you. He just stayed there for a moment, watching the slight twitch in your hips as your body begged for every last inch of him. The way your core was covered in the sweet nectar from your previous high.
"..You gonna keep teasing me or what?"
You spoke up, mirroring his playful smile. You'd clearly picked up some confidence from the loving way he held you, basking you in a blanket of safety and security. Everything just felt right, like the stars aligned when he was caressing you. When you got to bask in the warmth he provided.
Steven didn't waste a second, pushing his aching member into you with one swift motion once he received the go-ahead he'd been looking for. He'd been dying for this, to feel you whole. His love was so strong that he needed you to feel it.
"Steven..-"
The second that sharp gasp left your lips, he felt a wave of pleasure rush through his body, hearing his name only heightening the feeling. God, the way you said his name. It was enough to make him melt. That breathy and shaky tone, he felt like he could see stars already.
"What? I stopped teasing."
He responded, feeling slightly cocky.
The second he started moving his hips, you couldn't keep your mouth shut. His name leaves your throat like a mantra, followed by satisfied whimpers and sighs you can no longer control. Waves of heat blooms across your veins, your hands finding their way to his back, lightly clawing at the skin.
"Fuck..need you, need you so bad."
Steven was just as vocal, a line of praises and grunts slipping from his tongue, instinctively picking up the pace as his fingertips lovingly stroked over the light layer of sweat covering your bare skin. His body began to squirm as his hips thrust into you, basking in being able to truly feel you as if he was trying to merge his soul with yours.
Your breath soon turned into rushed pants, all thoughts leaving your mind as your head lulled back, giving yourself fully to him as he brought you closer and closer to ecstasy.
"Cmon baby..I've got you."
Steven encouraged, the words barely audible as he got lost in the intense pleasure burning through him. Feeling himself getting lost in the sight and feel of you, his body begins to tremble.
Those words were the breaking point, her body tensing up, her back arching like the string of a bow as that knot became untied once again. Sparks erupted in her stomach as her eyes fluttered shut, that feeling of sweet relief washing over her.
Steven was left panting with the aftermath of his own relief, his body going limp, every muscle in his body giving into pleasure as he rested on top of her, an array of whimpers leaving his lips.
"..I love you."

"Thaaats it.."
You cooed as you tightened your hold on Stevens head, glued between your soft, plush thighs. His tongue lapped at the nectar pooling from your core, eating you out like it was his last meal whilst your hand gripped tightly onto his blonde locks to somehow stable yourself, lightly scratching his scalp in just the way he adored, causing muffled hums of pleasure to fall from his lips. His hands lightly caressed your upper legs, his fingertips gently gliding across your warm skin despite his desperation to see you fall apart from nothing but him. Mentally unable to not be gentle with you, as if you were made of porcelain. He needed to be the reason your stomach tightly knotted and your forehead glistened with sweat as he poured all of his love onto your heat, while also savouring the sweet taste of your soul dripping out onto his tongue, wanting to feel as connected to you as humanly possible.
His eyes hadn't left your pleasure-filled face since he started, taking a mental note of every sound, twitch, and facial expression you made. He was determined to make you see stars, to send you to another universe, to make you feel the most pleasure you'd ever experienced, making sure to hit every spot he'd grown familiar to. Making sure you could really feel his love and devotion to you and only you.
"Fuck..Stevie-!"
You whined out, your volume heightening as your breathing quickened, your breath forming into desperate pants as you felt yourself drifting closer to that sweet, sweet edge he seemed to make you meet in seconds, addicted to the feeling his tongue gave you.
Steven could recognize that tone anywhere, feeling your legs twitch around his skull, making it so he could barely breathe. Which only made him love this feeling even more, more than happy to be glued to you. He’d stay like this for all of eternity if he could. His tongue worked on your honeypot like a dog in heat, his thoughts filled with nothing but his adoration for you and need to please you as he sucked on your clit, not pulling away for a single second, savouring you for as long as he could.
You continued to hopelessly moan out his name like a mantra, unable to keep your mouth shut as your thighs clamped around him like a Venus flytrap, feeling that knot in your stomach finally come loose as you sealed your eyes shut, your head flying back against the headboard as you came undone on his tongue, harshly panting as you tightly gripped onto his curls, your free hand clamping the already messed up sheets, your mind going purely blank, all her thoughts washed away besides thoughts of him, how incredible he made you feel.
Steven let out a pleased hum as that familiar, sweet taste hit his taste buds. He made sure to not leave a single drop behind, his tongue lapping up any juices that weren't already coating his jaw, cleaning every part of you. He didn't want to waste a single spec of you, needing to taste how loved and needed he made you feel.
He eventually pulled his head back out, his messy, loved-up hair falling over his eyes, placing a peck to your clit before climbing up to see your beautiful, worn out face, the cold breeze hitting your core making you let out a whine.
You reached out to cup his cheek in your hand, your thumb affectionately grazing over the skin as you stared up at him through half-lidded eyes, in awe of your beautiful boy covered in your sweet honey, all for you.
"You were so perfect, my love."
You muttered softly, a lazy smile on your face.
"I could do better"
He responded, a determined look on his face as he immediately dived back down between your legs before you could even react.
