Clione limacina or Sea Angels
Sea Angels are a type of predatory sea snail. They’ve evolved an impressive defense mechanism for a mollusk- they produce a chemical compound that deters fish from eating it. This is the only example in which a chemical defense is produced by a mollusk that isn’t gained from its diet.
