Hello! Considering how you now write for Chiori, and that I highly appreciate your Genshin headcanons... I think it's about time I grant you the honor of my first ever tumblr ask 👀

How would Chiori act with a S/O who is more on the sensitive side, the kind to not appreciate harsh words, or having people raise their voices at them? (totally not me checking my own hypothetical compatibility with her)

We know she can basically use her sass to roast people on the spot (not to mention her skills in graceful arcs making) in public, though during her SQ, we also get to see a somewhat softer side from her, when in a more private environment/with friends... But she also went "ugh eww ugh" when Xavier cried in joy during the 4.3 movie event.

So... that got me genuinely wondering. Feel free to add more characters if you feel inspired/like doing that (how their behavior with S/O would change depending of the setting being in public or in private?), and have a nice day 😊

(Genshin Impact) Chiori with a softer S/O

I am honored that I am your first blog you ask! Hopefully you enjoy!

Chiori honestly does not act that differently, even in private or when she has a S/O.

She has never apologized for being herself, and that would not change no matter what.

And if someone got with her, they would know that when they decided she was the person they loved.

Even if the person she spoke to was an absolute sweetheart, Chiori doesn't mince words in the slightest.

(Chiori) "...S/O, you are not going out in those rags. Here, let me pick something out for you."

She doesn't really hold anything back because she loves her S/O, and the fact they love her means she can unapologetically be herself.

That being said, she isn't heartless.

Chiori tries to phrase things slightly more gently. Such as:

(Chiori) "What I want for my birthday? Hm, I would like new tools...Keep it a surprise? Why would I do that when you can just get me something I like?"

Key word being: tries

She's at least tactful enough to not make them cry from her usual harsh words.

In private, she can get a little more handsy than usual.

She just sits on the bed and lays her head on their shoulders, taking a deep sigh.

(Chiori) "...You must be tired too. Go ahead and rest your head on me."

Her love language is definitely acts of service than words, which goes both ways.

She'd rather show why she loves her gentle S/O, than just tell them.

And that comes across in the clothes she tailors for them, never ever skipping on any expense.

(Chiori) "This kimono will match that perfectly with that pretty smile of yours, now quit squirming. I gotta take the measurements..."

Since they don't like anyone raising their voices at them, Chiori is the first one to step in to apply verbal or physical violence upon anyone doing so.

It doesn't matter who they are, if someone tries to pick on her sweetheart, than they're going to be picking glass out of their clothes.

My apologies by the way, for the time it took... partially due to Wanderer's presence in the 4.8 summer event. Screentime & new voice lines from him means more material for inspiration and writing him. And... procrastination 😅

Wanderer taking care of drunk GN reader with drinking problems

Ambient music (ironically fitting title):

You come back to your senses after feeling a sudden splash of cold water hitting your face.

"Morning, sunshine."

With your sight gaining some clarity back, you can first discern a figure standing before you, with crossed arms. As your ears slowly pick up on their surrounding, revealing the presence of a river nearby, the figure gets clearer and you recognize who it belongs to... alongside the fact it's the middle of the night.

"... you?"

"Seems like you're back to your senses. So, how was your little trip to Wonderland?"

"... trip? Oh, you mean..."

As you try to stand up by yourself, some remaining dizziness prevents you from raising properly, resulting in the loss of your balance, falling on the grass.

"Ugh... You really are pathetic sometimes, S/O."

His next action goes against the harshness of his words, as he bows to pick you up with ease - even keeping a grip on you, until you could stand on your own without falling again.

"Why am I here...?"

"Don't tell me you forgot about your filthy habit already..."

He steps back and now stares a little more intensely at you, clearly unamused.

"You got drunk again. You're lucky I was the one who found you. Who knows what could have happened, had it been someone else."

"Where... did you find me?"

"Collapsed on the road, in the wilderness, like a wounded animal. Hearing some helpless cries from you could have been entertaining..."

His eyes close as he sighs. While you're busy processing his words, he adds another batch of them.

"Endangering yourself like that, with such a filthy and disposable drink, will not lead you anywhere nice. It's about time you find another outlet to cleanse your mind."

You nod, acknowledging his words, remaining silent for now as you process them. You know there's some truth in them, but you also know that removing a bad habit is easier said than done, especially when the root cause itself isn't treated.

"Look, I'm not going to pretend that your life is all sunshine and rainbows. But if consuming strong drinks is your way to cope... why not try tea then? You know already about my preference to have it as bitter as possible. If anything, it won't make you drunk, at least. Besides... don't go thinking I had any pleasure in looking for you like I just did."

With another sigh, he reached out for your shoulder, resting his hand on it.

"Come, let's go home now. You need some rest, and not just to reflect."

After you nod in approval, he proceeds to get a good grip around your shoulders, lifting you in the air afterward. Although he wouldn't be against a night stroll, flying back home will be more convenient, given the present circumstances.

If anything, the consequent breeze from the flight should air your mind a little, perhaps even symbolizing the wind of change, as you may now deviate from the unhealthy habit that brought this moment.

"Ruan Mei doesn't know love"

wrong. her name comes from her parents who both died. her love for desserts comes from her aunt that bought her desserts as a child, from the treats her mother would give her after a research expedition. her love for traditional theatre comes from her grandmother's love for it. her character was born and woven with love, her very essence is a woman so deeply loved by her family that everything about her is an embroidery of these aspects.

her apathy is a direct result of this love being ripped away from her, with the death of her parents and feeling she had failed them. she is traumatized and doesn't want to feel she has failed someone ever again. and so she doesn't allow herself to get attached. but she still shows love. she shows it in remembering Stephen's favorite treats, she shows it in hand embroidering a charm for asta because she mentioned how pretty it was, an argument could be made that she shows it in the SU with her occurrence.

this isn't even a deep character analysis, this is all just... explicitly written out in her backstory

If it wasn't for you being slightly less boring, to his eyes, than the rest of people, then there's simply no way he would have accepted your invitation.

"The café? What are you plotting this time?"

"Nothing, I'm just taking some time off today, and so I thought, you could come along too!"

"How amusing. And to think you would need my company just for drinking something."

The two of you sit at a free table, in the shadow provided by the café's umbrellas, the latter not even inviting him to remove his hat.

"Speaking of drinks, since you thought it was a good idea to bring me... get me some tea. The more bitter, the better."

"Still no sugar?"

"Of course not. Bitterness is the taste of life, pure and raw."

"Okay, just wait here then!"

He stays in his seat, crossing his arms, waiting for your return with the order, which is placed on the table soon enough when you come back.

"And there you go!"

With a grin that you know is his personal way of thanking you, he picks his cup and takes a sip from it. This improvised trip here wasn't all for nothing, at least... that is, until something felt off.

"... hey, I thought I told you no sugar. Did your little human brain forget about it? Are you taking me for a fool?"

"No, of course not! I only thought that you could, perhaps... sweeten up your mood a bit, for once! I've never seen you smile or relax, so..."

While your smile grew, his eyes opened wide. If he still were a god, stormy clouds would form on the spot right now, upon witnessing the mere audacity to not only add sugar in his cup, but also make a pun out of the situation.

"... I was wrong about you. You are the fool here. Only you would have the nerve to even dare think about doing something like that."

"Oh come on, even for just one time?"

"Not even in your dreams."

An amused grin grows now on his face, satisfied to have turned down your hope. With now your immeasurable disappointment and your day being ruined, you take a sip from your own drink... only to find that its taste is vastly different from what it should be.

"What's the problem now?"

"Why does my tea tastes like... thyme?"

"Ha! Maybe it's about thyme you know your place. Don't think I will go easy on you next time."

You cannot help but blink, causing him to stretch out his tongue to you, in pure revengeful amusement.

"In fact, it's nearly a wonder I felt like holding back a bit on my Anemo powers. These merchants really don't know how to secure their goods. Just a little bit of wind, and then... poof."

"You're so mean!"

"Hehehe... but I never claimed to be a saint."

Both of you are minding your own business, albeit in the same room. You are the one breaking the silence, and with such a question that her focus moved from the embroidery in her hands, over to you.

"... hey, Ruan Mei? Could you... please hug me?"

"... a hug? Why?"

Who knows what kind of thoughts perpetually rush through a genius' mind, but such a question was definitely not within the range of expectations. Not to mention physical affection being somewhat of an alien concept to her - much like displays of affection in general.

"Well I thought that, since you're so devoted to studying Life, and that hugs are a thing among certain animal species... then why not try it?"

She moves her embroidery aside as she thinks upon your words and gathers her thoughts, to craft up an answer.

"Alright then... but you take the lead. You certainly have more experience than I do, in that regard."

She raises from her chair as you move closer, before she lets you embrace her first. Only then does she do the same in return, but purely to imitate you, and not without a short delay.

"How is it?"

"At the very least, it's not unpleasant. But that's probably because it's you. Were it someone else instead, then it would be rather forgettable. However, I admit it's intriguing that... this, became a thing."

It's unclear if she's being nice, to cover her doubts regarding how to feel about a mere hug, or if she only accepted out of politeness. Either way, you know how deeply focused she can stay on her things, and thus, you're grateful she complied to your request... somewhat.

Black Swan

Ambient music:

"... hey, Black Swan?"

The memetic entity appears out of thin air next to you, hovering lightly in the air, with her interest piqued by your summoning.

"Something the matter, S/O?"

"Could you... please hug me?"

"A hug?"

You nod, looking up at her and watching her hover a little closer, facing you with crossed arms.

"Should I understand you wish to create a precious memory with me?"

"Absolutely."

"Very well. It would be a shame to miss such a kind offer, after all."

With that being said, her feet land on the ground and her arms open in a welcoming gesture, inviting you to become part of her embrace - something you willingly and gladly do right after. She then closes her grip around your form, holding you with motherly tenderness.

"Thank you..."

"There's no need to thank me. This captured fleeting moment is truly worthy of remembrance. And I have no doubt that you will cherish it as well, S/O."

You smile and hum, satisfied, and at her satisfaction. Her grip remains until you move out of it at your pace.

"We should do that again somewhen, but I would suggest in a cozier environment. Then, I could bring some perfumed candles, to further... improve the ambient."

"Agreed."

"Well then, I'll see you there."

And with a satisfied grin, she disappeared the same way she appeared.

Hey there, I figured I could update you about the remaining request: I don't forget about it! Earlier this year, I could begin to write for it, and I would say at least half is done 🤔

Like I said back then upon receiving it, it's gonna take a while to do, due to its sensitive theme, and I consequently don't want it to be low-effort 😅 (there's also the fact I'm not an actual writer/author, so, if inspiration isn't there, then I unfortunately can't do much about it other than try again later...)

Although, one part of the late can be simply explained by doing your other requests first, before that one... So, thank you for your patience, and I hope to complete it soon enough. Until then, please take care 🙏

that's a good point about alice making her cry, i didn't think about that. of course it could have just been a natural part of growing up since she was a kid back then, but it's an interesting contrast between young miko crying because of alice and present miko keeping her real emotions very hidden, it makes you wonder at what specific point she changed. my guess would be at some point when ei went into euthymia 🤔

those are some good picks, i only know bits and pieces about them but i really like black swan and aventurine too! my favourite is kafka, she's the one i downloaded the game for hahah i have a type

That sounds plausible enough; plus, being a youkai doesn't help to bound to the fullest with humans, so, 500 years... 🤔

Ironically, I got her twice in 10 pulls (E1) during her first banner, and I still don't even simp for her whatsoever, while literally everyone else casually calls her "mommy" 🗿

That's one explanation, plus they roughly share the same traits, kind of... not to mention that Alice once invited Ayaka to become an idol (Barbara, though, received it too and could accept), but here Robin basically is one 🤔
