Neil and Todd: *talking abt Oscar Wilde*
Charlie: omg is that the hot fox from zootopia
Yes, this is based off of a real interaction I had
Has a hyperfixation on theatre.
If you change your tone even slightly, you can see him start to get upset.
It looks as if he's got great coping mechanisms, but he's actually really good at masking.
Gets really burnt out on a night and so everyone knows not to disturb him, especially after dps meetings.
Will cuddle with Todd when he's burnt out.
Has a wall of sticky notes to remind him to do everything.
Needs routine otherwise he gets quite anxious, so the poets all know to tell him exactly what's happening in the day and where they will all be at certain times.
Never remembers what's for dinner, no matter how many times he's told.
Gets really loud when he's excited, especially in Keating's classes. (Same with Charlie)
He'll randomly shout a line from a poem or a play relating to what you just said.
Doesn't go non verbal very often but it has happened.
He learnt sign language for when Todd goes non verbal because of his autism.
Cameron actually had healthy coping mechanisms for some of his autism symptoms, so he helps Neil study because he knows how to break the work down so it's not overwhelming.
They all have a collection of fidget toys. (Charlie and Todd have the biggest collections, and they've made it a competition as to who has the better collection.
They all get extra time, so in exams they're all sat in the same room which is actually really helpful because it means they can give each other little thumbs up and smiles. (Yes my friends do this for me, it's very nice to know someone is checking up on you)
Thank you for reading!

"are they laughing ? god they're laughing ? to a joke a teacher said ? how incredible? gotta take notes on this guy."
screaming crying and throwing up rn
just had the devastating realization that mr. keating probably wasn’t allowed to attend neils funeral
ive just come to the horrifying realisation that i do in fact want a friends to lovers romance where we hang out with our cool friend group all the time and one day accidentally kiss or hook up and then realise we’re in love and the reason this is a BIG problem is bc i have no friend group
i'm having fun making these lol
i just think
this thought occupies at least 30% of my brain at all times
The fact that when Neil died at least all the dead poets could support eachother, both be and have a shoulder to cry on, but then Charlie got expelled.
Charlie is alone in his room, hugging and sobbing into his pillow, the faint yelling of his parents about what they are gonna do now, how will he become a banker? What school should they send him to next? Not comforting him and he had no siblings to rely on, no friends to turn to. Charlie was all alone.
dress up just to study, chew on the caps of your highlighters while you scribble notes in the margins of your books, put your feet up on your desk and drink cinnamon tea with too much sugar, learn calligraphy and write your favorite quotes on pages of old books and tape them to your wall, drink wine and read in the bath and use that bathbomb you keep forgetting is in your cabinet, play your favorite music play classical music play music from the 20s and dance down your hallway just because, call your friends and read aloud like each word is the most important one on the page, see if you can light enough candles to not need to use a lamp and open your window even though it’s cold, go for a walk and see if you can take a turn you haven’t taken before, live life as a challenge of how fun and dramatic a tiny world can be
honestly fuck all romance except for whatever the fuck that little shy kid and the dude with severe daddy issues had in Dead Poets Society
