its my 21st birthday in a month and i really want to buy a typewriter as a gift to myself and sort of like an “i’m proud of you for making it this far” kind of thing. i’m a writer and a hopeless romantic so i’ve been wanting one for quite some time but i told myself i couldn’t have one until i started writing properly and actually seeing it through. i’m about to reach the halfway mark of my first novel length piece of writing and i’ve also been songwriting consistently for over a year now so i figured i had finally earned it. 

anyway the reason i’m posting is because i know almost nothing about typewriters so i have pretty much no idea how to go about buying one. if anyone knows about typewriters and would be able to give me some tips/advice about buying one that would be so so so appreciated !!

alright so i've seen some confusion over the canon knox v. fanon knox subject (why is it necessary, what's the difference, etc.) so i thought i'd make a simple, bullt-pointed post about the differences and why fanon knox is the best while canon knox can get the fuck out :) also i'm sorry i've been posting a lot today, i only just decided to be a dps blog a few days ago and i have SO MANY IDEAS UGH i love this god forsaken website * brief mention of suicide

canon knox:

just toxic in general???

literally stalked a girl he barely knew and refused to stop after she repeatedly told him to stop (consent is key you idiot)

stroked her hair and kissed her forehead while she was asleep and possibly drunk at a party, all without her knowing and consent (i can maybe sorta see why certain people play this off as sweet, but the simple truth of the matter is that it's pretty fucked up considering the circumstances)

made her uncomfortable in front of her entire class, and then denied that what he did embarrassed her as much as it embarrassed him

told chris that he would kill himself if she didn't reciprocate his feelings

fanon knox:

simply a non-toxic romantic

thinks every one is "the one" and doesn't get hung up on one person and stalk the shit out of them for a few months

has a new crush every week and writes a poem for every single one of them

would work up the courage to talk to a few of them, and even then he would be very sweet and very shy and not creepy

WOULD BE A STICKLER FOR CONSENT AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL

would bring flowers to every date no matter how much of his money he was draining

a sweet, adorable, not creepy, not toxic, wholesome, loving, amazing, romantic. that is all
