I am a firm believer and advocate for the headcanon that Neil Perry gets that ‘cute aggression’ impulse whenever he sees Todd.
Todd reading a book at his desk? Neil’s gotta squeeze him in an air constricting hug..
Todd eating food during any of their meals? Neil’s gotta shake him violently while complaining about how adorable he is.
Todd minding his own damn business standing in the hallway? Neil is gonna tackle hug him so fast he’s gonna give sports cars a run for their money.
Todd not even being in the general vicinity because he just left? You better hope you left with him because Neil is going to be completely incoherent as he babbles and makes vague grabbing gestures for the next hour. (Charlie gets the brunt of this their senior year because he’s always in their room.)
In conclusion; Neil is constantly overwhelmed by how much he loves Todd.
Todd isn’t as obvious about it because Neil always makes the first move, but ask anyone who’s ever asked him a question about Neil and they’ll tell you he’s the exact same way.
this is a hot take but if you don’t ship charlie and todd on the down low then are you okay?
yall their friendship is actually everything
