dream likes to sleep in, and neither techno or philza blame him. he's improving, but his body is still in rough shape-- he needs rest. phil brings him coffee in bed, made just the way he likes it. kisses his forehead as he passes him the mug. they talk about the day, and phil mentions that a snowstorm is coming soon. might hit as early as midday.

dream makes it to the living room just in time to catch techno before he leaves for the day. techno is going to do some hunting and bring in firewood, just in case they're snowed in. dream knows better than to ask to join him, so instead he sets us a prank for techno when he returns. a classic-- clear saran wrap on his doorframe. he sets it up and then spends some time with the animals, sometimes noticing phil watching him through the window.

techno gets GOT by the prank, and he tackles dream in vengeance. scoops dream up into his arms and tosses him on the couch. they laugh and wrestle, and techno is very gentle with him. dream catches a glimpse of the rabbits techno caught and he sees that they aren't in their winter furs. techno left the arctic to hunt. he wonders what's happening out there. he decides not to ask.

cwilbur: "dreams basically my dad (in the making) so i'll ruin him!"

cdream: *going off the deep end*

cwilbur: "Ha! Its working! Phil would never ever been and done anything like This...of course...definitely...surely not..."

LOL meanwhile cphilza encounters dream when he's half-beaten-to-death and can't stop trembling and thinks he's the most kissable boy in the world

I've been thinking of cdream laying across ctechno's chest and completly and efficently inmovilizing him for hours bc ctechno doesnt have the heart to wake him up. What's worse it's that once cdream leaves, cphil comes and does the same, basically leaving him stuck for other three hours more.

Ctechno is the biggest of the three but even he has a weakness when his parthers just sleep close to him like he's not heartless to make them move yk he's a dog/wolf owner he knows how rules go

he ain't make the rules /shrug

can't get up if there's a cutie sleeping on you. whether it's a dog, cat, human, human-adjacent., etc.

If cDream ever got stuck outside in a snowstorm he probably would be allowed to leave the house when it was cloudy for months, he would have to argue to be allowed to go feed the Dogs, and sunny days turned cloudy quickly he would be picked up and carried inside because it might snow

YES for the folks wanting possessive techza this is a perfect opportunity for it. they're so scared they'll lose him that they keep him even closer after a mistake like that. if techno carries him back inside, dream will put his hand on techno's chest and notice that his heart is beating quick-- the fear of losing him is real. dream's not sure anyone has ever worried about him this much. it's nice, he supposes.

in every single one of my fics, c!dream is a gross little freak because his priorities are so skewed by his focus on Survival and The Plan that even after he's out of prison and healing in the arctic with c!techno, he's still wiping his nose on the blanket or putting a knife he just used back into the drawer and techno is just like. bruh.
