Yes. I'd like to add this.
Most people I know, despite being fluent in english, find it difficult to understand dialogues spoken in American or British accents which are common in english movies. It really is hard for Indians like me to clearly hear english words spoken by actors from other countries. Subtitles are a huge help, but it does get annoying when they're badly done.
Good subtitles for all media would be awesome.
Can we please please normalize subtitles?
