not because it's bad or anything but because if you do it even once you're going to be editing the bits where you shifted tenses out of your writing for the rest of your life

One thing I truly love about Mabel is that she is completely genuine and sincere weird little girl representation. She has a morbid sense of humour. She grew up with a horrifying plush bear called Bear-O and literally everybody hated him. Her prized possession is a pig whom she won at a carnival, claiming to be a witch while doing so. Her initial design for a wax figure was a fairy princess horse fairy princess. She punched a unicorn. She draws portraits of her friends on cats and sells them for a profit. Her dream boyfriend is a Bill and Ted clone who has a masters in law. She's scared of stop motion. Her uncle didn't like colours so she hatched a plan with her friends to blind him. When her uncle offered her a free gift from his shop, she took a grappling hook without even considering any other option. One time she said the sentence "it's covered in my blood, sweat, tears, and other fluids." No one is doing it like her

how the Queens would decorate their bedrooms

Catalina- meticulously perfect and tidy. her bed is made, and the curtains are drawn. nothing is out of place, and she has everything labelled (this extends outside of her room and into places like the kitchen and laundry). Her bed is white with silk pillows, and her bed frame is one of those brass ones. she has pale gold curtains and a soft rug on top of the wood floor. she has a record player bc she can’t figure out modern technology, and she has a cubby hole for records, organised by the era.

Anne- she has an assortment of stuffed toys on her bed, and a whole shelf of troll dolls that are her pride and joy. she has her bisexual flag pinned up above her bed. she has a mood board full of pictures of the other queens and from the show. she also has several pictures of her and fans as well. her bed is never made, and the pillows on the bed are enough to swallow someone whole. her closet always seems empty because Cathy is always stealing her clothes, not that Anne minds. she has neon pillow covers and glow in the dark stars to match with Kat, though their placement is a lot more chaotic and less thought out.

Jane- her room is tidy, but not to the same extent as Catalina’s. she goes for a white monochromatic colour scheme, with pops of yellow and grey throughout. she often has a coat left out on her bed, and her yoga clothes hanging over the frame. she has a desk with a pen pot and laptop stand. she has a pretty minimalistic approach to decoration, so her room isn’t as busy as some of the other queens. 

Anna- she has a mini-fridge in the corner, filled with red bulls and pepsi. she has a tv mounted on the wall, and various switch games on her desk. her bed has a red quilt cover, with black detailing on the sides. she has rock music blaring at most hours of the day, and cassette tapes ready for gym trips. she has posters of her favourite boxers on her wall and a drum kit set up.

Kat- has posters of her favourite singers and albums sticky-taped onto her walls and the back of her door. there are clothes scattered and abandoned on the floor, and her closet is an overflowing mess. everything has a place in her mess, and she can tell you where everything is, even if it’s under a pile of clothes. she has a loft bed with a desk underneath. her bed is pale pink, and she has glow in the dark stars on her ceiling and walls that match with Anne.

Cathy- books. EVERYWHERE. they’re on the floor, the bed, the desk. they’re spilling out of the bookcase and they’re stacked against the wall. there are opened and half-read ones, and so many tabs in her favourite books. there are coffee cups from chain coffee stores and mugs scattered across the room. the curtains are always shut, but slivers of light filter a small gap between them and she can’t be bothered closing it any further. she has a dusty blue quilt cover, and matching pillows that seem to be anywhere but on the bed. her desk chair is never fully tucked in and her hardwood floors are bare apart from the piles of books. the only person who can figure out where to sit in amongst all the mess is Anne.

I love genuinely innocent “boys will be boys.” Just saw a guy come out of a frat house to poke a pair of jeans they’d left outside - they were frozen solid, and as soon as he confirmed that, like twenty more boys came rushing out of the house going “YOOOOOOOOOO”

one aspect of the narnia films i feel like we don't talk about enough is they're funny too. they're so well written because they're incredibly earnest and heartfelt and brutally sad at times, but they also know just when to drop a funny line to catch you off guard and make you laugh. some of my fav moments:

edmund "perhaps we've been incorrectly labeled" pevensie

"we could all use the fresh air :)" "it's not like there isn't air inside."

[while preparing to run for their lives] "do you think we'll need jam?" "only if the witch serves tea!"

followed by "you should have brought a map" "there wasn't room next to the jam!"

"everyone's staring at us." [the most little sister voice ever] "maybe they think YOU look weird."

peter, full angst mode: "don't you ever get tired of being treated like a kid?" edmund: "...we ARE kids."

they're literally being pulled into another world and edmund's like shut up i'm NOT holding your hand peter

caspian saying he thought peter would be older and peter immediately being like WELL if you like we can just come back in a few years—

YES the Thunderbolts have a fantastic team as family dynamic, yes they are living in Avengers tower, yes history is repeating itself and 2012 tower fics are so back. BUT!

instead of "Alexei eating poptarts" or "Yelena in the vents", we must come up with new headcanons and make history

Bob always does normal domestic chores, often getting in the way of important missions and spy business. "All I'm saying is Bucky is our best sniper" "It would be a much quieter assassination if I just slipped into the condo and cut his—" "Hey sorry guys, anyone have laundry? I'm doing a load"

Yelena and her guinea pig always eat meals together at the dining table. Everyone has their Chinese food or barbeque, meanwhile the rodent is loudly munching on a salad right beside them

Bucky is the mom and always keeps them on track. "Ava you have a dentist appointment in the morning, and bring Bob so they can add him to the insurance. Lena how was therapy? Alexei, I said no vodka until dinner"

Alexei is always coming up with new promotional ideas for the team. Cartoon tv show, cereal, toothpaste flavour...every day he thinks he's come up with the next big thing. Whenever they actually get put into production (Wheaties) he collects and saves it, and won't let anyone use a different product. (He threw out Yelena's frosted flakes and it took both Bucky and John to get her to stop attacking him)

Ava likes to phase and sneak attack her teammates at random. She claims it's for training but really she just thinks it's funny hearing them scream

John gets blamed for everything, even if it isn't his fault. Especially if it isn't his fault: "who ate the last bagel?" "John." "Where's my hair straightener?" "John had it." "Whose turn is it to unload the dishwasher?" "Johnnnn"

draw women in post-apocalyptic world settings with armpit hair, leg hair, bushy brows and pubic hair ya cowards,, draw brown women/women with dark thick hair with arm hair and happy trails and sideburns and mustaches i’m sick of seeing silky smooth soapy clean make up wearing post apocalyptic dolled up women next to stinky sweaty crusty men with dirty nails and sweaty clothes and sweaty greasy hair and 3m long ugly beards
