if you're familiar with the first English dub, you probably think the gay censorship extends to the Russian dub as well, given the country's long history with homophobia.

but no. this scene is entirely unaltered, and neither of them had their gender changed, either. this is true for both of the Russian dubs for the anime that exist.

although it does have an age rating of 16+, which I find pretty questionable, but a lot of other things with gay people in them routinely get 18+ here, so this is such a shock to the system for me...

I have a lot of things to say about this dub, but maybe some other time.

my aunt told me that, when she was a kid watching Sailor Moon and saw the two very gay dark kingdom guys, she decided to herself that one was the other's older brother
