In the 21st century, they began building pyramids again. It was a decision not really taken by any authority, but it was commonly very popular. It's hard to say if it was caused by lack of believable Gods; many had been worshipped with a huge amount of followers for hundreds if not thousands of years. So maybe it was a response, or rather result, of the increasing single high-rises. Usually placed where they would do most harm. In the sense of being extremely ugly, and at the same time standing so you couldn't get free of the sight. It was a new and very effective form of prisons. You had to either stay inside with curtains drawn, or simply walk around with your eyes closed very hard. To avoid being caught in that devastating ugliness. Maybe that was why. If there had to be those sky-scratching buildings, then why not give them a purpose? Put something inside. So it happened. New pyramids. Filled with whatever you wanted. Your dreams, your destiny, your future… Your freedom. At night they were lit with hope. From and for every single soul. Most about escaping the new high-rise prisons. To live with open eyes. I think we've been here before… Sun breaking through some clouds, sharp rays of light, the usual stuff. Yes. Nothing new here. But wait! A picture tells more than a thousand words. Especially when amplified with loudspeakers mounted on high poles. Let's listen… Hey, you light, could you please tell your sun, that you're making an awful lot of noise! It IS quite nice to look at, agreed, but do you know how it sounds? Anyway, you could turn down the volume a bit; I think everybody's got the message. As usual. Now someone might actually be speaking, like with words, but they're blown away by you, and makes no sense. PLEASE turn down a notch or two; what comes out of those loudspeakers could be interesting for you too! Right now it just sounds like… What? Are you doing this? Have you really hired special effects? But yes! There's no real words. It's only dummies! Not a single understandable word, just poles for the contrast. How clever! Fitted with those loudspeakers, just to make that association: "That a picture…" Yes, we've certainly been here before: You're turning this into a competition. Pretending to use words! Only for a stronger image. Cheating! Overkill! Who in this world will ever believe in the sun anymore? Or that words are anything but a silent plugin to pictures?
