A good list of Drarry fics, especially Secrets

do you know any drarry fics that are long & plotty (like 20k+ words) but also have a good amount of smut? and maybe hogwarts era or eighth year if possible?

Hogwarts Era/Eighth Year

Secrets (Vorabiza, 411k): This fic is my ideal: very long, verycharacter focused, with an incredible plot and lots of banter and smut.Draco shows up at Privet Drive with his daughter and begs Harry to take her in.They end up teaming up to take down Voldemort, and their relationship isabsolutely beautiful. 

At Your Service (Faith Wood, 99k): It’s their eighth year atHogwarts, and a series of suspicious events makes Harry suspect Draco (cue Malfoy is up to something!). Harry is really in character, the mystery is phenomenal, and it’s so fun andadorable. 

Draco Malfoy, It’s Your Lucky Day (Faith Wood, 37k): Harry and Draco arepaired up to search for Potions ingredients in the Forbidden Forest. But thatdoesn’t explain how or why they wake up injured, their wands missing/broken,and with no memory of how they came to be there. 

Chaos Theory (Tessa Crowley, 103k): This is an AU withgenius Ravenclaw Draco. Harry and Draco become best friends first year, andtheir friendship changes canon events in very clever ways. It can getreally emotional and intense, but it’s worth the heartache. 

Azoth (zeitgeistic, 89k): Harry decides to go for the seeminglyimpossible and train to become a Potions Master, with some help fromportrait!Snape and Draco. It’s so well-written and lovely, and it’s a greatslowburn. 

Manticoria (zeitgeistic, 70.5k): The magical wards are falling, leavingthe Wizarding world vulnerable to exposure. The eighth years are tasked withfixing them, and Draco and Harry work together to find a solution.

Mental (Sara Holmes, 196k): This is my favorite accidental Legilimencybond fic. You watch them initially resent the bond (and each other) and thenstart to rely on it so intimately. It’s lovely, and it has one of my favorite Dracos.

Get Some (Sara Holmes, 81k): So this one isn’t quite as plotty as theothers, but it’s incredibly fun. Harry is sick of everyone coddling him, andwhen Draco slaps him in the face, he helps bring the fire back into Harry’s life. They fight and flirt and fuck and it’s glorious. 

Post Hogwarts

The Boy Who Only Lived Twice (lettered, 54k): Harry’s an Unspeakable andis in love with his partner, despite not knowing his identity. Meanwhile, Dracois pursuing him hard. Harry’s mission with the Unspeakables is fascinating, andit’s a different take on what exactly it is that Unspeakables do. 

The Incredible Race (Cheryl Dyson, 52k): It’s a Wizarding version of theAmazing Race! Harry and Draco are partnered up and have to race against othercouples to complete a series of tasks all around the world. It’s super fun andvery clever.

Take the Air (Cheryl Dyson, 53k): Dementors are attackingMuggles, and Aurors Potter and Malfoy are assigned to the case. This authoralways excels at witty, fast-paced fics; there’s only a little smut, but it’s afun read. 

All Our Secrets Laid Bare (firethesound, 149k): After Draco’s Aurorpartners keep disappearing, Harry is forced to work with him. Harry tries toinvestigate him without getting distracted by his epic adorableness, but alas,his impulse control is as poor as ever. 

A Private Reason for This (femmequixotic, 92k): Harry’s assigned toDraco’s Auror team in Scotland to try to solve a high profile murder. Themystery is clever, and Harry and Draco’s tension is lovely. 

Yours is the Earth (Hold On, Hold On) (chickenlivesinpumpkin, 127k): God, this fic!It absolutely destroyed me. It’s nonlinear, so you see this mysterious Darkcreature taking over Draco’s body and holding his hostage, while also watchinghow Harry and Draco first fell in love. It’s incredibly gripping andheartbreaking, and it’ll definitely stay with you.

Keep fighting

I’ve been wanting to share this comic ever since I noticed that after the first two weeks of protesting most of social media started “going back to normal” as if there aren’t still people walking out and protesting making sure this movement doesn’t go silent or looked over. I appreciate every single individual that is out in those protests helping and being vocal for this change. Also those continuing to spread word and help out through petitions and donations. I wish y’all to stay safe and well.
