Hello tumblr people, I have just made a decision to read the popular fanfic, Twist and Shout. I'll tell you about it, wish me luck. PEACE OUT, BITCHES

Psych wards should really be included in Tumblr’s discussions about ableism.

The doctors there called me psycho and assumed I couldn’t think for myself. They held me down against my own will. I could only go outside if I was in a cement area surrounded by a fence. The rooms were equivalent to jail cells. I cried and told them to stop and they would say “the psychosis…”.

Psychotic people and others with demonized or “scary” mental illnesses are often not treated as humans. Please don’t leave people on the schizophrenia spectrum out of your activism.
