we all know the famous butterfly Taylor used for her mural and how it looks similar to Karlie’s reminiscent of her first outfit during hers and Taylor’s performance together

and of course the theme has been replicated a couple of times especially during Hozier’s Take me to Church (coincidentally both Karlie and Taylor were backstage)

and these were the butterfly wings that do not really look anything like the Lover era butterfly

I've always been fascinated by Taylor's lyrics that imply friends to lovers and childhood/teenage sweethearts trajectory and creating a story that spans decades and eras..

And while many of her earlier songs may be written for some other paramours, I still have so many lingering questions/thoughts

Taylor’s first time attending a runway show was Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring/Summer 2010 in September 2009—and funny enough, it was also one of Karlie’s shows. They both wore the same shade of red too. After that, a lot of the fashion shows Taylor showed up to either had Karlie walking in them or had her at the same parties. Some of these appearances even happened in the middle of Taylor’s tours, during those rare one-week breaks—she’d spend them in NYC, Paris, or sometimes London (I think?).

In one interview, Taylor mentioned spending a lot of holidays in St. Louis because some of her relatives still live there—side note: her grandma Marjorie actually grew up in STL.

Karlie showed up at the 2013 Grammys before she and Taylor were publicly seen together in November that year. It was right in the middle of New York Fashion Week—she flew to LA for the Grammys after walking some shows, then flew straight back to keep walking more. I know she was there for MTV’s House of Style, but I still wonder why that was such a priority. Also, Taylor performed “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” that night.

“Wildest Dreams” was written in October 2013 (so... who exactly was tall and handsome as hell back then?). “How You Get the Girl” came in January 2013. And “You Are in Love” was written and recorded in January 2014, before Big Sur. So yeah, the 1989 timeline is kinda sketchy.

And when Karlie went to the Eras Tour, she wore a bracelet with an “Enchanted” charm. Like… if you supposedly have songs linked to you from five or six different albums, why choose that bracelet?

For her first Vogue US feature Taylor was documented saying "I love Karlie Kloss. I want to bake cookies with her" unprompted by the interviewer. Others would consider this a soft-launch.

Also—how does she even calculate all those 8s and 3s? There’s no way those are just random coincidences.

Why hide as early as that? And why were the other girls not as hidden and didn't really require an elaborate soft-launch

I’m so sorry anon, but I personally find it really funny when people hear the songs where taylor is working through her feelings of being betrayed by Scott B and attribute them to karlie instead.

It’s like finding a man holding a gun standing over a dead body and saying, hang on a minute… what if the real murderer is the victim’s gf… because two of her friends liked a gossipy tweet written by a known shit-stirrer!

that is to say, we know for a fact that taylor felt deeply betrayed by scott b, seeing as he’s verifiably the actual person who sold her masters to scooter, after treating taylor like family since she was very young. it’s pretty self-evident he deserves the level of vitriol in the smallest man who ever lived (besides the other descriptive details that link him to tsmwel, mtr etc).

as for taylor and karlie suddenly never being seen together again (seemingly drifting apart a whole year before the heist even happened, remember?), well she hasn’t spoken on that, so naturally we read between the lines in the songs to find out. some people have taken the masters heist songs to be about karlie, and ran with that. but others see karlie and taylor’s retreat into privacy reflected in songs under the ‘love blackout’ theme (especially around here, you’re on a longtime kaylor blog 🙈)

love blackout = the hints taylor has put out again and again that she intentionally distanced her public image from karlie’s because it was too dangerous to carry on as openly as they had at first. 2016 election sadness themes, secret love themes, all consistent over the years. all while writing new love songs that use callbacks to the rep muse, to yail even 🥺. as if taylor’s been using all the confusion and her masterful quill of misdirection to achieve her priority of protecting karlie. not protecting karlie’s public image and clout with swifties, which she doesn’t need to maintain her success because she was always successful in her own right! no, it’s all for Karlie The Person in their secret bubble of reality. all this showmanship, you know. the great war, hello!!!! too many songs to name where the kaylor chandelier is safely out of sight, but you can still see flickers through the boarded up windows ❣️

so forgive me for having a chuckle. to any anons who sincerely🛸want to believe, I’m just throwing it out there that there are plenty of us that never found the karlie-betrayer theory convincing at all. if you take a closer look at everything, the timeline of events and all the songs since, does it really make sense? (especially when there are so many shitty men in the mix who are more obviously to blame lol)

i think a lot of people are predisposed to blaming karlie and so everything becomes a sort of confirmation bias.. which partially, i would argue, was by design.. so in a sense i do not fault gaylors or others for falling into this hole. but i do sometimes feel like faulting them a tiny bit for those who never climb out of it. there’s plenty of information and clues needed to figure it out and climb out of it.

one thing i don’t like about the whole “let’s not talk about muses” discourse is while the spirit of it is supposed to be “let’s study why these songs sound gay instead of commenting taylor lyrics on these people’s instagram pages,” in practice the phrasing almost is like giving yourself permission to pass judgement on the people in taylor’s story and then never reevaluate them. people often say ~lets not talk muses that’s invasive and gross~ and conveniently refuse to adjust their perception of karlie (for example) based on what taylor is putting out there, while making convenient exceptions for any interpretation they find that works to reinforce their already negative perception of her. and then after bitching about her they’ll cover their timeline in lisa frank dolphins because apparently that’s what paradise is. i dunno. it all feels dystopian to me atp 😆

To also add a bit to the beginnings: As a fashion fan, many have to realize that Karlie was considered a “high fashion” model which is different from commercial/editorial work. She was extremely busy it just regular fashion weeks but she did couture fashion. She was always overseas double time because of couture fashion shows. Spent a huge amount of time in London/Paris then would take the train to Italy. I remember as part of high fashion group they’d do shoots in Tokyo and Japan. She also did I think 2 seasons of shows for Mercedes Fashion week where you were in various shows around Germany. Just like now she’d be in the Bridal shows. She did those for Oscar de LaRenta. Back then the models hardly had anytime even for holidays because of couture. She modeled year round and lets not forget Cannes that had regular/couture. So I think that not only age but she was in high demand from fashion houses and traveled extensively. Taylor would’ve had to be at a majority of events to even get a chance to see her and Karlie was known for walking the most shows in a season. Even as an angel she didn’t just do the fashion shows but she did events at stores, parties, etc for VS. That’s what an actual angel does. It’s more than VS shows you have to open their stores or do store/reg events for them outside the shows. So many misunderstand that about karlie….she was in another realm of modeling that not many ever get too. I think as karlie got older she was able to manage her schedule better. I think Taylor spending times/moving to NY helped. Karlie also became more selective on shows. Plus I remember stories about her constantly on phone right up to time to walk but she could do it because she was a queen.

I just roll my eyes when I read this kind of crap in my inbox, because these kind of people are not even worth wasting my time with. They don't know the slightest thing about Kar's career in haute couture. If they knew how big Kar's name was when "kaylor met in 2013". You were surgical, with Karlie's extremely busy schedule for most of the year, especially during fashion week season, it must have been a crucial point when the girls first met before 2013 for that they didn't go beyond casual, if they ever got romantically involved at all. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I remember Kar's snapchats were basically airplanes, airports, snacks, backstage at shows and running around with a carry-on bag (I miss the most random and silly posts she made almost daily 😪). There's even a video for Vogue or maybe it's on her channel in 2014 (?) where she shows at least 2 or 3 passports completely filled and almost finished with the current one. Like... WTH?? 😮🫨 The girl was basically a nomad. 🤭 KK probably paid the condo fees so her plants had somewhere to live, because she herself was never home, poor thing. Lol

If you don't believe me that Carly Simon, Lucy Simon, and James are entirely relevant to TTPD, here is some concrete proof. TTPD released on April 19th, you know what else came out on exactly April 19th in 2016? Taylor's 73 questions with Vogue interview where she said that her favorite song lyric was "I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee" from You're So Vain by Carly Simon and then she made this lyric the visual ending of the KARma MV. Right after the Carly Simon comment she filmed the iconic "You should take her to Big Sur" scene before walking back in where you can see photos of her and Karlie framed on the shelf. .....on April 19th. It is undeniably connected.

Now I'm going to back this up with the HEAPS of evidence that majority of TTPD is through the lens of Karlie and Taylor being the reimagined do-over of Carly Simon and her exes James Taylor/James Hart. You're going to want to take a seat for this one.

Lucy was in a sister musical duo with Carly Simon and guess what the genre of music was? Folk. Hold onto that thought about Taylor being James in Folklore because she was named after James Taylor, that's important. Also keep in mind Betty is short for Elizabeth, tying Betty to Karlie/Carly.

Lucy Simon is best known for her work as a composer in the musical The Secret Garden. Sound familiar? It should, and it's from the song of Taylor's that puts this puzzle together.

I hate it here starts off with the lyric "tell me something awful, like you are a poet, trapped inside the body of a finance guy." And then goes on to say "I hate it here so I will go to Secret Gardens in my mind".

Now remember how I mentioned Carly Simon had 2 James exes? Sure everyone knows about James Taylor, but what we all looked passed for so long was Carly's second husband, James Hart. And when you look him up, you find something that matches that prior lyric a little.. all too well.

James Hart also known as Jim, was a closested gay poet who worked as an insurance salesman and he did not come out as gay until 20 years into his marriage with Carly Simon. In other words, James Hart was a poet trapped inside the body of a finance guy......

Taylor is James Hart. And this was the James she named herself after in Folklore, not James Taylor. She has metaphorically been James Hart majority of her discography, and she told us in Lover.

Remember how I said James Hart remained closeted for a total of 20 years of marriage to Carly Simon? In Daylight, Taylor says "I've been sleeping so long in a 20 year dark night, and now I see daylight"

This is where we pivot back to the James Taylor of it all because it is important to note that Carly Simon and James Taylor's wedding anniversary is on the first day of Daylight Savings being over, Nov 3rd.

On Nov 3rd 2024, exactly 38 minutes before Daylight Savings ended and after Taylor just played "The Prophecy x This Love" and Maroon x Cowboy Like Me... Karlie posted herself at a WEDDING with MAROON nails in broad DAYLIGHT despite it being 1:22am Central, doing the TTPD peace sign.

You seriously can't make this up.

Daylight Savings ending meant the clocks went back, like going back in time, to change the Prophecy. Now Taylor explains the Prophecy as being destined to not end up with her one true love. And she mashed it with "this love came BACK to me". Which is the entire premise of The Alchemy with lyrics like "making a comeback to where I belong, your heart said it's STILL reserved for me."

And the final piece of evidence that this story of TTPD is told through the reimagined lens of Carly Simon / both James is in The Alchemy. Because the alchemy IS what undoes The Prophecy.

In The Alchemy Taylor says "he jokes that it's her*in but this time with an e." , and many fans have struggled to understand what this lyric refers to... but it is very obvious for those who have paid attention to her use of Carly Simon and James Taylor.

So now we turn to the question, WHY did Carly Simon and James Taylor split in the first place? I'll let you read.

Meaning when you put everything together, the overarching message is that THIS time it was different, THIS time their love came back to them, because the person named after Carly Simon, and the person named after James Taylor, DID end up together in the end. Changing "the prophecy" that destined their love to fail in the same way that Carly and James did.

Also the "heroine" part to the joke is because in this version they are both women.

And it all goes back to Red with Begin Again. Because who would she be talking about that had as many James Taylor records as her, if not the woman who was quite literally named after Carly Simon?

I wonder if she ever gave us any sign that Begin Again was about Karlie.... oh wait.

In the Begin Again MV you can see a CAR license plate in the background, and it literally has Karlie's full name and birth year in code.
