It's time for Gion Matsuri which takes place during July in Kyoto, Japan. This is a vintage fan decorated to celebrate the festival. I think this may be the Ofune-Biko float in the Minami-Kannon-Yama district. Cooking for the first time in kimono. 😁 Hubby was going to cook breakfast for me after I dressed for our Kimono de Jack DC outing. I got dressed and he woke up with a painful ankle. So here I am heading into the kitchen…🍳

This is the lovely kimono that I am so proud to own! A few years back, Umeno okiya was selling a few of their pieces, and I was so privileged to be able to purchase this.
