What a week! I’m exhausted!
I’ve been mainly reading today, because I wanted to be productive but didn’t really have all that much to do - for once! I am going to have a day of maths on Sunday to make up for missing my mentoring session this week, but I’m still going to take it easy.
But right now I’m researching for my IRP in German, ft. the new book I ordered which got delivered today. So far, so very interesting! I can’t wait to reach a conclusion :)
Happy Friday, guys!
Me: OMG YOU HAVE TOO MANY BOOKS! READ THE ONES YOU’VE GOT BEFORE BUYING MORE!
Also me: *sees a book on Amazon* Oooooh that looks interesting... let’s take a cheeky peek... oh, shit. I put it in my basket. Oh, double shit. I accidentally paid for it. With next day delivery. Well, it’s mine now!
no matter how good things seemed to be going, you will feel sad or even numb again. it doesn’t cancel out the good things. the good things and good days will always be real, and there are more days like that to come.
I don’t use watercolour very often but I thought it’d look cute drawing a fawn :)
Gotta love that NMR!
Also can we appreciate those perfect hexagons because it took ages to draw those ahaha
Have a great Sunday!
The vermillion Mildliner is my favourite colour right now. Channelling those autumn vibes (despite the fact it’s still technically summer) 🍁
The Cambridge bottle reminds me of my ultimate goal at this point in my life. Let’s go get it!
You know when you *should* work but you are having such a bad day you can’t? That’s me right now. And I’m cool with that
Less than 11 hours until I get my results! My plan is to wake up at 7am... except this plan is inherently flawed because it follows the (false) assumption that I will sleep at all.
I’m so stressed even though I shouldn’t be but I am because in this moment it’s a big deal even though it’s not really and oh my god why am I like this
Guitar cases make great makeshift desks when you don’t have an actual desk lol
ft physical chemistry notes on dispersions and interfaces

I love whiteboards. They make me feel smart!
This was an intro to inorganic solid state synthesis and was essentially just a bunch of information that was handed to us. It’s rare that this type of thing happens in a chem degree... we are normally far more problem-solving than that. This reminds me more of GCSE or A level where we had to know a bunch of advantages and disadvantages for different processes and describe how they work. Hated it then, hate it now!
So as you can tell, I’m not great with paints but I really do enjoy painting with gouache and just felt like painting to kill my boredom. I decided to continue despite my most important colour for this piece having dried up in the tube beyond salvage, so this is purely a just-for-the-hell-of-it kind of thing. There are like a million things wrong with this little thing (eep those antennae ahaha) but the fact that it exists is progress.
2 weeks to go until I start my degree... I’m a bit nervous and to be honest, I still feel quite burnt out but I’m hoping my mood improves when I actually get there.
